The palace of fairies gives you some of the most stunning views
Pari Mahal is another tourist destination in Srinagar that has some very interesting history associated as per the locals. As I stated in my last post, we went there from Cheshma Shahi Garden - only a five-minute drive from there. Even though we were hungy our main tour organizer wanted to meet us there and guide us. It does not take a lot of time, a hour would suffice to cover the entire place. The story that he told was quite interesting as well as scary. As per him the place is known for mythical sightings even today - the soul of princesses who were taken illegaly and kept there and tortured roam around even today. That is the reason, no one goes there after evening. Things have changed a lot but locals still believe in this theory.
The palace of fairies has seven-terraced garden structure and nothing much to offer except some stunning views of Srinagar as you can see. The structures provide a glimpse of Islamic architecture though. It is now served as a venue for Indian Paramilitary camp - may be because the faries would either love them or fear them. After finishing here, our next destination was the Tulip Garden, the most sought after place in Srinagar as this is the only Tulip garden in India and you don't get them anywhere else. We did a little mistake - more to come on that.

It's really scary when the spirit of the princess is said to roam there.
The military has taken over :)
Even though the army may have taken over, but after hearing this, fear arises in the heart.
May be that could be the reason they close early in the evening.
Beautiful photos @sanjeevm and I like places that are more connected to nature and this is the one. Hope you had a great time there.
Feels like going back soon.
I have heard of this place, but can't visit it as I live in Pakistan. But I have seen this place with the help of your post. thanks for sharing this beautiful place with all of us here on hive.

your son is looking sharp in that outfit.. like a vintage look, but with some modern pop! :)
He will be a good model :) but for now let him focus on studies.
Incredible place friend thank you very much for sharing with us as well as telling us the stories that happened there and understanding a little more about your culture
What a beautiful family.I really liked the photos
Thank you so much.
The photographs are great and the best thing is that it seems like a very quiet place and ideal to enjoy with the family. Also how every ancient site has its stories and tales
Interesting place with interesting history. Here in my country, these ghost stories are usually related to medieval castles. We have hundreds of them here.

The place looks good and its surrounded by water which is also good but a bit scary. Nice photo clicks.
Best location, and best shots. And that family shot will make you remember this trip and bonding together for lifelong. God bless you.
Seeing nature makes one's heart very happy especially when you are with yourself the way you are enjoying with your children and the weather is also very interesting.
This is so amazing, and indeed beautiful.

This place looks fantastic and beautiful ❤️
Hello dear friend @sanjeevm good day
what a beautiful and chilling place. It is common in this type of construction so old to see or hear supernatural things
Beautiful photographs, I appreciate that you let us know
enjoy it
Tortured? That's scary. But the garden is beautiful.
It's nice to see the beauty of the garden as well as some of its history.
Seven terraced garden are still there or just an old name still curculating for this place.
It's still there and interesting fact about this is their water system is full underground.
With drip irrigation?
