Enjoying My Journey to the Land of Rencong Aceh: Seeing the Beauty of Mount Seulawah

in Worldmappin3 days ago

Hello everyone, welcome to my story! This is my umpteenth trip to visit Tanah Rencong, Aceh, also known as Serambi Mecca. After two years, I finally came back here to enjoy the atmosphere and natural beauty of Aceh, especially in the area of Mount Seulawah.

Mount Seulawah has two twin mountains that are well known by locals and Acehnese alike. One of them is Mount Seulawah dara (local female language), which is located in the district of Lembah, Seulawah, Aceh Besar district. This mountain is one of the female type C volcanoes or dara in the local language, which exists in Indonesia, and its beauty is extraordinary.

The view of Mount Seulawah dara is beautiful with green vegetation surrounding it. From certain angles, you can see trees that have died, but still grow around the foot of the mountain and provide an interesting local touch.

Locals also live in the area around the mountains. It was quiet so I didn't dare get too close, but I only took a few photos shown above and a few more below.

I was able to capture beautiful portraits of Mount Seulawah dara, and also point my camera at the roads that skirt the mountains. The atmosphere was serene, resembling a city to some, but to me, it was the attraction - the charming charm, combined with the natural beauty, that seemed so exotic and intriguing to those who visited.

This is the view on the Seulawah valley road, the road is quiet, but sometimes crowded with motorcyclists.

Regarding the eyes, the series of mountains is elegant and impressive, surrounded by a green landscape with trees covering the left and right side of the road. The atmosphere is very exotic and makes my eyes ruin, but I feel a little quiet from the visitors.

Now, let's enjoy the view of the trees growing around Seulawah. Under a cloudy sky, although the sun is sometimes hidden by leaves and clouds, the journey is still pleasant and full of beauty.

Here, the trees seemed dead, silent, and no one could explain what was really happening. I had no answers either, because there were no locals in sight around, only silence enveloped me.

The journey continued until we found a small hut that the locals call the Little Hall. At first, we thought we would find someone here, but the result was the same, only the small room was silent and there was no sign of anyone.

The small hall here looks quite attractive, a local term I am familiar with because I lived in Seulawah for two years. That experience made me dream of someday building a cozy, livable little house around this mountainous area, enjoying the breathtaking beauty of beautiful Seulawah Dara Mountain, and feeling the peace that brings me closer to my dream home.

Thank you
See you soon...
