"Never lose the child-like wonder. It’s just too important. It’s what drives us. Help others." ~Randy Pausch
When I was a child, living in the countryside, I didn't have a chance to visit amusement parks and malls. I remembered our play time like climbing the trees and making a mini play house using the leaves of the plants around our garden. My cousins and I were enjoying our games.
At an early age, my sister and I used to help our mama and papa on our farm. We were trained to be hard-working, responsible, and independent. Then after I finished high school, I had to move to the city to continue my studies in college.
Life in the city is different from the countryside life, from the traffic jams to the crowded houses. Eventually, I survived the 4 years in college and got my degree in education.
Then, I worked and earned. I got a chance to visit places that I wasn't able to see when I was a kid. I felt happy that at last, I can experience the things that I was hoping to experience in my childhood days.
My co-workers and I were given a budget for our team-building activities so we decided to have it at Anjo World.
WELCOME TO ANJO WORLD
Anjo World is an amusement park located in Barangay Calajoan in Minglanilla, Cebu, Philippines. There are a lot of activities that we can enjoy here. Here are some of the activities that I have experienced at Anjo World.
GOLDEN CAROUSEL/ MERRY GO ROUND
HIP HOP
SPACE SHUTTLE
BOOMERANG
SNOW WORLD
After the rides, we went to the snow world. I was so excited to enter the place since it was my first time on snow. We put our winter clothes on.
When we were about to enter the place, the staff told us that we are not allowed to bring our phones inside, instead, there are photographers inside who'll take pictures of us.
When I was inside the place, I saw ice sculptures with colorful lights. These are so beautiful to see. I was really amazed. What a wonderful man-made creation. Then, we decided to take a slide.
It was freezing inside that I couldn't bear the cold so we went outside.I only had 2 pictures since the printed picture is quite pricey at 200 pesos per picture.
I realized that it is so nice to have a snowball fight, slide, make a snow castle, and be surrounded by snow. However, it would not be easy to stay here for a long time. I hope in the future I can experience the real snow.
OTHER RIDES/ACTIVITIES
- Bumper boats
- Mr. Cup
- Mr. Toad
- Tower Drop
- Anjo Eye
- Viking
In conclusion, I was having a great time. Indeed, we should never lose our childlike wonder.
