“There’s no better place to find yourself than sitting by a waterfall while listening to its music” – Roland R Kemler
Hello 2023! It has been a long time since the last time I posted. I miss you Hivers! Before going on to the next adventure in 2023, let me show you the 5 picture-perfect waterfalls in Cebu that I visited last year. Actually, there are more waterfalls that we haven't visited yet. However, we will explore these waterfalls and share them here on Hive soon so follow us for more adventures.
When you come to the Philippines, you must visit the island of Cebu. Aside from the beautiful beaches, Cebu has a lot of waterfalls too. What is more interesting is the turquoise color of the water which is also very cold and relaxing.
Here are the 5 best waterfalls I have visited so far that I highly recommend you visit when you come to the island of Cebu. You can read the full blog by clicking the names of the falls written below.
Tumalog Falls is quite popular with tourists since it is located in Oslob which is famous for whale shark watching. A lot of tourists come here, especially on the weekend or summer season. The flow of the water is minimal but the entire area is quite impressive. The first time I came here, I was so amazed because of how gorgeous the falls were created naturally. What's more, is that the place is covered with tall bamboo plants which made it more inviting.
Getting into the falls requires about a 10-minute walk. There are also a lot of habal-habal drivers (motorcycle taxi) that can take you to the falls for a fare of about a dollar. By the way,the entrance fee is 50 pesos (0.90 USD)
Dao Falls is located in Samboan which is one of my favorite waterfalls here in Cebu. The hike up to the falls will take about 30 minutes. On our way up, we saw a lot of fantastic views of nature and we were rewarded with a stunning view when we finally reached the main falls. It was all worth it! I highly recommend this place.
To have the best experience, make sure to check the weather before coming here. Safety is our main priority so having a tour guide is a must. Plus safety gear should be worn at all times. By the way, the entrance fee is 50 pesos or 0.90 USD and the tour guide is 200 pesos or 3.60 USD.
Inambakan Falls is situated in Ginatilan Cebu. It is famous for its 6 distinct levels and towering height of the main waterfalls. This is actually quite similar to Kawasan Falls but has fewer tourists. When you arrive, the guides will approach you. It is highly recommended to have a guide for safety purposes. The tour guide fee is 200 pesos (3.60 USD) and the entrance fee is 50 pesos (0.90 USD).
The hike going to the falls will only take about 5-10 minutes. When we were there, we weren't able to go to the next levels because it was already late afternoon. However, we enjoyed our stay at the main falls. We will surely go back!
Cambais falls is situated in the Municipality of Alegria Cebu. This spectacular waterfall is famous for its blue waterhole. Before you reach this amazing waterfall, you have to hike for about 20 minutes. Note that there are 2 levels here. When we visited this place, we thought that there's only one level. Later we know that it has another level that is more beautiful than the first one. Good thing, few tourists were present. We saw few locals going up so we decided to follow them. Then, we saw the magical view of the second level. It was so beautiful.
5.KAWASAN FALLS
Kawasan Falls located in the Municipality of Badian is the most famous waterfall for tourists here in Cebu and one of the best waterfalls all over the Philippines. You will enjoy the jungle trail, canyoneering, and jumping activities here. Don't miss this spot when you visit Cebu. Since the place is very famous, it is expected that a lot of tourists are present especially in the summer season or on the weekends.
I have visited this place twice and I love to visit Kawasan again. I would love to try their canyoneering activity next time.
Look how stunning my friend Gelo in the picture!

WHERE TO STAY IN CEBU?
If you are planning to come to Cebu, the best place that I highly recommend you to stay is in Moalboal. Moalboal is located in the south of Cebu. This is the best place to start your fun adventure. There are various resorts and apartments that you can stay. I found an article which might help you choose best resorts to stay in Moalboal. Check this blog: https://www.journeyera.com/where-to-stay-moalboal/.

Maganda talaga ang Kawasan. Crowded Lang talaga dahil mag known ito.
All waterfalls are captivating but if I have opportunity to visit I will love to visit CAMBAIS FALLS because from the picture it has beautiful surroundings, the rocks where I can walk around and see the blue water borehole.
Hope you can visit this place. I love Cambais falls too.
In future tourism is actually part of my plans especially with my family
