Just after being questioned by police for a lack of a QR thingy and refused entry to my own country of residence cause I haven't agreed to be part of this whole apocalypse thing.
4 hours of fucking about to get a test done in spanish and when I went back they didn't even have the courtesy to be there. So in this case, fuck the police.
Strangely enough the obligatory customs agent was cool.
Now happily at home with a bottle of turkey and the boy in his own bed. Who says there ain't no happy endings.

Am I understand this correctly, you were allowed to travel out of France into Spain but refused reentry without first testing negative?

yeah getting to Spain no issue no one even at the border. They rocked up and set up the gendarmes at some point while we were there. So on the way home with a car full of shopping and a very tired 6 year old in the back, they stopped us and demanded QR codes which we do not have.
No VaXx no entry, ok Mr officer, what next? Turn around and get a test, suuure no problem.
So we had to spend 4 hours Driving from pharmacy to pharmacy to find someone who could do a damn test to say we weren't all vidded up.
Eventually found one that could prick our fingers and sign a paper saying all negative.
Then to top it off drove back and they had packed up for the night. Once again No cops in sight, apparently covid can only be caught between noon and 8pm.
lesson learned
So 4 hours of my life with a very upset little dude and 50 euros lighter for jack shit.

That's one of the more vivid stories I was able to paint a visual of in my mind while reading than I've read in quite some time.
And then the twist at the end when they weren't there!! Hashtag DamnBlockbuster.
It's amazing how easy it is to capture a moment when you aint worrying about getting it right. I wish I had a dime for every time police fucked up my plans.
