Breathe over stress

Hello again Hive!

It has been awhile since I last posted here. I have been busy with my work and studies lately. Work’s been super stressful, especially after the election. A lot of paperwork needs to be done and deadlines to meet. My studies also has placed a huge pressure on me since it is almost our finals and I am not sure yet whether I can take the comprehensive exams or not. Because of this, I decided to take a breather and went to places that calmed my mind. I have always been attracted to the sea. Even though I do not know how to swim, hearing the waves and looking at the broad body of water calms me. The salty scent of the sea, fresh breeze and even the warm sun refreshes me. My boyfriend and I went to Panglao, we went to their newly developed tourist destination which is “The Boardwalk”. This is where you can find lots of boats that can take you to the neighboring islands like Balicasag Island and Isola de Francesco. The Boardwalk is located just near Panglao’s San Agustin Church. It is best if you come here before 5:00 pm so that it will not be too hot. I suggest you bring your own umbrella (unlike me who has been welcoming the harsh sunlight).

Next, we went to Becca Café x Bistro. It is located in Tagbilaran City. We had chicken pesto and some fresh fruit shakes. I wasn’t able to take a picture of our food since I was too busy admiring the sea. Here you can see the Dauis Bridge that connects Dauis-Panglao Island to the mainland. Aside from pasta and fruit shakes, they also offer various beverages, from coffee to beers and more. They also offer sandwiches, heavy meals and cakes. I usually go here if I needed a break from gadgets or to stay away from unwanted people. If you happen to visit Bohol, I suggest you explore more of Panglao Island and the cafés here in Tagbilaran. It’s definitely worth it!
