Salorno is a city among the Dolomites / Салорно - місто серед Доломітів ( En / Ua)

I have been attracted to mountains for a long time. Since I live in the Veneto province, the mountains surround me to the north. And the Adriatic Sea spread out to the south. Because of this, the climate in my province is quite mild, the mountains restrain the northern cyclones, and the sea adds freshness during the hot summer.
At the end of summer, the days were quite hot, the temperature rose to 37 degrees above zero. I chose a place on the map and wanted to go there. This is the town of Salorno, halfway to Bolzano. So, after buying the tickets, I went on a journey.

Мене давно приваблюють гори. Так як я живу в провінції Венето, гори мене оточують на півночі. А на півдні розкинулось Адріатичне море. Через це клімат в моїй провінції доволі м'який, гори стримують північні циклони, а море додає свіжості під час спекотного літа.
Наприкінці літа дні стояли доволі гарячі, температура піднімалася до 37 градусів вище нуля. Я вибрала на карті місце і захотіла туди поїхати. Це місто Салорно, що знаходиться на півдорозі до Больцано. Тож купивши квитки, я вирушила в мандрівку.

My trip was a bit long, I changed two trains and even got to the station by bicycle. But when I got on the platform in Salorno, my feelings were so strong from what I saw that I wanted to laugh and cry! Towering mountain massifs stood in front of me at arm's length. The mountains glistened with gold under the sunlight. I seemed tiny to myself and I began to sing a Polish song:

And the world is truly limitless! Mountains, rivers, plains, seas and oceans! Everything was created for the good of man! Live, enjoy the environment!

Моя подорож була трохи довгою, я поміняла два поїзди і ще до станції я доїжджала велосипедом. Але коли я вийшла на перон у Салорно то мої відчуття були настільки сильні від побаченого, що хотілося сміятися і плакати! Переді мною на відстані витягнутої руки стояли височенні гірські масиви. Під сонччним промінням гори виблискували золотом. Я сама собі здавалася мініатюрною і я почала наспівувати польську пісеньку:

І дійсно світ безмежний! Гори, ріки, рівнини, моря і океани! Все створено для блага людини! Живи, насолоджуйся довколишнім середовищем!

After exploring the surrounding mountains, I walked across the bridge into the city. The bridge crossed the Adige River. It is the second longest river in Italy after the Po. A wide, full-flowing river carries its waters from north to south.

Доволі порозглядавши навколишні гори, я через міст пішки пішла в місто. Міст проходив через ріску Адідже. Це друга за довжиною річка в Італії після По. Повновода широка ріка несе свої води з півночі на південь.

From a distance, I saw the colored roof of the bell tower, sparkling in the sun with a wonderful ornament. I saw such a roof for the first time. I wanted to come to the historical center as soon as possible and take a closer look at the church and bell tower. The church was built in the 9th century in the central square of Salorno. The church got its current look from the middle of the 18th century, when a baroque church was built on the site of the old sacred building. The church has a layering of three eras. Instead, the two-story house was preserved in its authentic form. The bell tower is built in the Gothic style.

Здалеку я побачила кольоровий дах дзвіниці, що виблискувaв на сонці чудовим орнаментом. Такий дах я побачила вперше. Мені захотілося швидше прийти до історичного центру і оглянути зблизька церкву та дзвіницю. Церква побудована в 9 столітті на центральній площі Салорно. Теперішній вигляд церква має з середини 18 століття, коли на місці старої сакральної будівлі була побудована церква в бароковому стилі. Церква має нашарування трьох епох. Натомість двіниця збереглася в автентичному вигляді. Дзвіниця побудована в готичному стилі.

The municipality building and the parish house are located on the square. In the middle is the Dolphin fountain. The water is drinkable, cold and very cold. There are many drinking water fountains in Salorno. This simplifies the life of travelers, there is no need to carry water with them. You just need to have an empty bottle or some kind of vessel to get drunk.

На площі знаходиться будинок муніципалітету та будинок парохії. Посередині знаходиться фонтан Дельфін. Вода питна, холодна прехолодна. В Салорно дуже багато фонтанів з питною водою. Це спрощує життя подорожуючих, не потрібно тягнути з собою воду. Потрібно лиш мати пусту пляшку або якусь посудину щоб напитися.

Not far from the city center, I turned towards the mountain massif. I wanted to get to the watering hole. This water feature is 70 meters high and I was hoping for an unparalleled spectacle. But what was my disappointment when I saw lonely drops of water running down the stone wall... dry hot summer, there was almost no rain... as I read later on the Internet, you have to go here in rainy weather. Someday I will do so. But I was amused by two young men who wanted to take a shower under the fountain. They undressed, their bodies were pale, as if they had not seen the sun, and climbed the slippery stones to the waterhole. Icy water fell on their bodies and they squealed with pleasure!

Недалеко від центру міста я звернула в сторону гірського масиву. Я хотіла потрапити до водограю. Цей водограй втсотою 70 метрів і я надіялась на неперевершене видовище. Але яке було моє розчарування коли я побачила одинокі краплі води, що стікали по кам'яній стіні... посушливе спекотне літо, майже не було дощів... як потім я прочитала в інтернеті, сюди треба їхати в дощову погоду. Колись так і зроблю. Але мене потішили два юнаки, які хотіли прийняти душ під водограєм. Вони роздягнулися, їхні тіла були бліді, ніби не бачили сонця, і по слизькому камінні піднялися до водограю. Вода крижана падала на їх тіла і вони піщали від задоволення!

I was very hungry, so I looked for a place to eat. On the way, I came across a cafe, where the seller prepared me a delicious bun with cheese and ham. I bought another cappuccino and had a delicious lunch.

Я сильно зголодніла тому шукала де можна поїсти. По дорозі трапилося мені кафе, де продавець мені приготувала смачну булочку з сиром та шинкою. Я купила ще капучіно і смачно пообідала.

Having strengthened yourself, you can go on your way. It's time to go home.
I will come here again to see other interesting places. For example, I did not have enough time to go to the mountains to see the castle built on the rock.
