A few days ago, I embarked on a journey to Nainital with my family, and the first day of our trip was nothing short of magical. Our adventure began at 9:30 a.m when we arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport at Terminal 1.
After completing all the security check-in formalities, we headed to the encalm lounge for breakfast. The menu was extensive, offering a variety of delicious items such as dosa, idli sambhar, khichdi, pav bhaji, coffee, tea, juices, and more.
Once we had satisfied our hunger, we boarded the bus that took us to the Indigo airplane. The flight attendant checked our tickets and allowed us to settle into our seats. The plane took off from Delhi at 10:50 a.m and landed at Pantnagar Airport around 12:00 p.m. From there, we booked a taxi and embarked on a two-hour journey to Nainital.
Upon reaching our hotel, Kay Kay, we took some time to rest before heading out to explore the beautiful town. Our first stop was Naini Lake, where we went boating. The view was breathtaking, with the sun shining on the water and the cool wind blowing through our hair. The sailor informed us that the lake was 120 ft deep and shared interesting facts about its shape and surroundings.
After our boat ride, we visited the Naina Devi Temple, located near the Mall Road. The temple was a serene and peaceful place, offering magnificent views of the surrounding area. We then explored the Tibetan Market, indulging in some delicious Chinese food and shopping for souvenirs.
As the day turned into night, we strolled along the Mall Road, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling street. We had dinner at Sher-E-Punjab and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The reflection of the street lights and the mountains in the lake created a mesmerizing sight, enhanced by the soothing music of a singer performing nearby.
Overall, the first day of our trip to Nainital was filled with unforgettable experiences and beautiful moments. I can't wait to share the rest of our journey in my upcoming blog posts. Nainital truly is a paradise on earth, and I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to explore its wonders with my loved ones.
