Hello, I’m Ricardo Garate from Venezuela. This is my first post in this community. I will talk about a town located about 9.4 km from where I live, at a walking time of 1 h and 59 minutes, according to Google Maps.

Costa Brava Beach

It's a coastal town in the state of La Guaira, located about 4.45km from Carayaca and 12.38km from the city of Catia la mar. I don't know its history, foundation or data about the population. There is no record on the internet that I can find, but surely if I go to the library I can get more information.

You can get there from the Catia la mar terminal, where there will be a bus line. You will have to wait a long time, as there are few buses.

In my case, I decided to run from my house to Costa Brava beach. A round trip, registering through Google Maps a distance of 15km in 1h and 26 minutes. As I was passing through, I took few pictures of the place.

From my home I passed other points of interest, as well as coastal towns that I cannot omit. I passed the thermoelectric plant of Tacoa, the residences of Picure, Taguao and Las Salinas. I will leave attached some photos of these villages, but in other posts I will talk about them respectively and try to gather more information as well as photos. I will also talk about the history of the Tacoa plant, as well as the mythical castle you see in the photo.

The jogging was pleasant, apart from making me reflect on the destiny of my life, I was able to witness the chores of the villagers. I saw them prepare the awnings for the bathers, embark on their boats to go fishing or arrive with shoals of fish, I saw ladies sweeping outside their homes or locals opening their doors, there were some who went for a jog.

On the way back the sun caught up with me and overtook me, but all in all it was a good ride.
