Hey guys!
Today I came to tell you about a trip I took this weekend, this time I went to Belo Horizonte, it's in the State of Minas Gerais - BR, on this trip a lot of fun happened and here I'll share some with you.
To start with, I arrived in Belo Horizonte, my brother was with me, we decided to take a walk around the city and visit Lagoa da Pampulha, a great postcard of the city, the place really is very beautiful and calm, full of nature, animals that I could manage. shoot and I'll put the photos here in this post. It was a very sunny day, very hot by the way (in case you don't know about the notice that the State of Minas Gerais is one of the hottest in the Southeast of Brazil). But Minas is not only hot, it's also well known for its wonderful cuisine, I say it's certainly one of the best in Brazil, typical country food, with lots of seasoning and on the farms, made in a wood stove (my friends, food made in wood stove doesn't get any better). But come on, I won't lose sight of the tourist spot 😂
Talking a little about the lagoon, it is 18 kilometers long and it is an Artificial Lagoon that was implemented in the 40's, in it there are several very cool scenarios, works of art, a hiking trail and also for cycling, it's common for that to happen. events around the lake, such as running events, at the end of the week when I visited the city, there had been a marathon that went around the lake, unfortunately when I arrived I had already finished the event.
This beautiful record I made, from the wall of the Church of Lagoa da Pampulha, was designed by Oscar Niemeyer, a very popular place to take good photographs. I even saw many people with photographers doing photo shoots around the Church, even pregnant people and people doing bikini shoots, I found this a little strange.
Capivaras are common animals throughout Brazil, it wouldn't be different in Lagoa, they really feel comfortable with the presence of humans, I got very close to take a picture and she didn't even bother with my presence, I was particularly left with a little fear of some hostile behavior of the animal.
Life really seems to be abundant in this location, I saw fishermen fishing with poles on the spot and I made more records of animals like this bird above (I honestly don't know which species, in case anyone does, if you can comment to help me).
I made this record of the Pampulha Lagoon Art Museum, unfortunately I couldn't enter due to the fact that it was closed on the day I visited, it's a really beautiful place, I wish I had the opportunity to visit and see its works.
This part is really very funny, until then I didn't know the city, so I didn't know about the extension of the Lagoa, my brother and I decided to walk around it, we commented that it should be 4 to 7 kilometers long at most , but after more than 2 hours walking with a blazing sun, I started to get very tired and I asked my brother how much longer to finish this walk, which seemed to be infinite, my brother said he believed there was still more than 7 kilometers to go , but up to this point, we had already walked more than 5 km, and we were very tired, we stopped for a coconut water and decided to search the internet for the extension of the Lagoon, that's when I got scared when I found out that it was 18 km long of extension, my friends gave me even a despair at the time the pressure almost dropped 😂.
Finally, we walked another 2 km and honestly I couldn't walk anymore, my knees were already hurting and the sole of my foot was burning from the hot ground, since that day was very hot, we stopped and decided to ask for an Uber to take us to the spot. where we had left the car, my friends, for the first time in my life I was won over by a walk, the funny thing is that at the end of it all, before leaving, I asked the residents and everyone said it was common for everyone to practice walking around the lagoon and especially the elderly public, they like to do this walk every day, I, in my 30s, was defeated halfway 😂
Thank you all again.
Cheers to everyone.
18km is a long walk everyday, the elderlies must a be a healthy bunch there! Luckily you got a lovely refreshing coconut drink there.
True, the elderly in the region are very healthy, and as for me, without my coconut water drink, I wouldn't do half the route I did 😅
Glad to see more of my country around here.
Minas gerais is baum de mais!
Brazil is a country blessed by nature 😍
Amo Minas Gerais, amo o povo mineiro!
Energia pura!
E a comida?! Se loko. Um dos melhores temperos do Brasil...
nice post man ! brotherhood ! family is life. did not knew the lagoon was that big. there were people swimming there ?
thanks bro! no, there was no one swimming in the lake, i didn't try to find out about that, but i believe it's forbidden, besides, i saw some spots that seemed to be pouring dirty water into the lake, unfortunately :(
