Hi everybody.
Wish everyone a happy new year.
This is my first post of 2022 and I wanted to bring something playful to everyone on Hive.
So it's already time to buy spring, right?
Is there any special event in the spring where you live?
In Vietnam, everyone is eagerly waiting for the Lunar New Year. This is the most special occasion of the year in your country. If we talk about Japan, I think people will say "hanami".
"Hana" in Japanese means flower and "mi" means to look at. So you can understand what the hanami festival they will do?
If you are in Japan, you will hear this word a lot in the spring because spring is often associated with the tree sprouting and blooming, right? If you say hanami, the Japanese will immediately understand that you are going to see cherry blossoms. I don't know if this word is used when looking at other flowers 😅.
This is a picture of me going to see cherry blossoms 4 years ago. Cherry blossoms bloom around March or April. The weather in Japan at that time was still chilly. In my opinion, it's like that. I wore a thick coat when I went, but because it was too hot to walk, I took it off and held it in my hand.
It's been quite a while, remember? As you can see, at that time I still used iPhone 6 plus, and the pictures in this post were also taken with it.
So if you watch it with a computer, it may not be clear.
You can see cherry blossoms in many places without necessarily going to famous places. In a small park or there are sections you can also see cherry trees. But it will be very sad if you are alone so I went to big parks, famous places, there will be more people. Maybe it helps me feel less lonely when going out alone.
When I first came to Japan, I was very excited and went to many different places to see cherry blossoms. With the thought that I won't be able to stay in Japan forever to enjoy all the flower seasons, so I tried to go to as many places as possible to experience all the famous flower viewing spots. Taking advantage of the flower season, I almost went to all the beautiful flower viewing places around Tokyo. Today I will introduce you to 2 places and in the next post, I will introduce the rest.
The first place is the cherry blossom in Koishikawa Korakuen, Tokyo.
I introduced this place first for the simple reason that the picture below is the first cherry blossom picture I found on my phone 😁.
Koishikawa Korakuen is a large garden with a variety of flowers and trees. It was built during the Edo period (1603 - 1868).
There is a lake in the middle and people plant many kinds of trees around it.
In addition to cherry blossoms, you can also see other trees.
Wouldn't it be nice to take a walk here?
These are the prominent cherry blossom trees in this garden.
At night, they even light the lights around the tree.
As you can see, here you will see large cherry blossom trees. They are planted far apart. Elsewhere, cherry blossoms are planted close together and form a white sky. But I think planting individual cherry blossom trees is a special feature of this garden. It has a distinct beauty.
A wonderful scene. There is a bridge and small rocks in the middle of the lake. I was so sorry that I didn't have a picture sitting next to this small lake. When I come back here I will definitely take it.
The style of flower viewing here is walking on small trails, passing through drooping cherry trees, and breathing in the fresh air. Do you like this style?
Next, we come to another type of flower viewing.
The picture above was taken at Chidorigafuchi Park.
It is famous for having a small lake in the park. Hundreds of cherry blossom trees bloom around the lake, creating an extremely poetic scene.
The style of cherry blossom viewing here is that you will both row a boat and watch the cherry blossoms on both sides. An interesting activity that is hard to experience in other places. If you don't want to walk along the coastal path while looking at the flowers and watching the boats below, just like me 😄.
As you can see, everyone paddles with friends, lovers or family members, right? I would be very sad if I had to paddle alone in this scene. Maybe the Japanese are like me. But if that's not a problem for you, then just enjoy sailing alone. I think you will stand out and have many admirers. Then you will look very cool 😎.
I remember when I got back, I got lost in the entrance ceremony of a university. The place I got lost in was Nippo Budokan.
This is where events are held. According to them, this is the entrance ceremony of Toyo University.
According to my research on the internet, this school was established in 1887 and is currently the 77th ranked university in Japan.
It's been almost 135 years so far, right? more than 5 times my age.
I arrived just as they were leaving and I was lost in the crowd for almost 30 minutes. In crowded places like this, the internet is very poor and you can't look up google maps anymore. I just followed the flow of people and luckily I made it home.
Looks crowded, right? This school has more than 30,000 students. It was a memorable experience.
So in this post I have told you about two famous cherry blossom viewing places. Where do you prefer the style of flower viewing?
I will be very sympathetic if you like both places and cannot answer. In the next article, I will introduce you to another style of flower viewing.
Thanks for reading my post.
Hope you like it.

Nice season. Have a good day.
hihi. Thank you😍
That's pretty! you know some people wish to visit Japan just to see cherry blossom LOL.
I hope you can share more places in Japan as it's a beautiful country.😀
yes, of course. I’m really want to share this beautiful country to everyone as I know that coming to another country with some people is difficult, along with covid-19 pandemic, It’s not really easy. So, I myself will help them through my posts 😍
