I had a chance to visit Sekeh Beach one afternoon, around 5 o'clock and it turned out to be a great place to relax.
I started my walk by the side of the beach, strolling through the warm sand. I passed some concrete areas and walked over stones, taking in the views around me. Some people did exercise, some enjoyed their time with friends or family. I kept on walking because I saw something grandeur at the beach.
One of the highlights was the large statue of God Varuna, the sea god. Standing about ten meters high, this statue shows Varuna on a big turtle that swim om the ocean with a serpent nearby. The white and gold colors of the statue looked striking against the deep blue sea.
As I continued my walk, I noticed two other statues. One represents the local goddess which represents prosperity, and the other is Kwan Im, the goddess of love. Both statues are set upon a statue of water. Their golden details and calm expressions added beauty to the beach. They seemed like gentle guardians of the shore.
The beach was quite peaceful, with only a few people around. Traditional fishing boats were docked by the shore, and I overheard local fishermen talking about their small catch for the day.
I also saw some tourists enjoying the beach. They were taking in the view and admiring the statues.
The combination of the statues, the calm beach, and the simple pleasure of walking along the shore made my visit to Sekeh Beach special.
what beautiful and well preserved statues, I loved them. Thank you for bringing them to the community.
