Tamraght - Agadir : Surfers favorite spot!

in Worldmappin4 years ago (edited)

After spending a night in Marrakech, we took the road direction = Agadir!

This was my first time traveling to Agadir, a city along Morocco’s southern Atlantic coast, in the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains!

It took us roughly 5 hours from Marrakech to reach Agadir - Having lunch in between though!

On the road, while navigating airbnb app, I found a nice looking apartment found in Tamraght, 2 minutes away from Agadir!

The ratings were nice and great comments on the hosts...so I directly booked and got in contact with the hosts.

They are 2 brothers and were actually surf champs of Morocco ! What a honor to be staying at their place!

Let me show you the airbnb...named Banana Point !

As the hosts are surfers, they branded their appartement with everything around surf...really nice touch!

And how welcoming they were...I was amazed with their generosity...

Explained everything from A to Z about Tamraght, Agadir, the culture, their passion for surf, weed...hash and all!
😉😉😉

My daughter with the host!

The appartement was so clean and the location just perfect for us to stay.

Well I am not a surf fanatic...but had fun hanging with the brothers...

I spent most of my time up there ⬇️⬇️⬇️

The terrace where you get a 360° view of Agadir + the place to have your dinner, check the below photos to get the feeling!

After relaxing a little bit, it was already night time...

We went out buying some food and brought back to have that 'rooftop dinner' experience!

I insisted for the brothers to sit down with us and have dinner together!

After dinner...when everyone went to bed...
I just went up again to appreciate the beauty...

I just didn't sleep at all!

Couldn't have wished for more!

As mentioned above, this city is mainly visited by tourists and specially surfers...

We didn't venture on the surfers zone too much, as firstly ; we are not used to surfing stuffs and also because we had our two kids with us...so safety wise it was better to experience from far!

If you look well on the photo...far in the back, you'll see some surfers looking for their perfect wave...

The jelly fish on the beach also made us stay little away...though we were told they were not dangerous...this is normal stuff there!
🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

So here we are with my first time visit of Tamraght, Agadir!

A place I will definitely visit again...mainly for the welcoming of the people, the good pot, the yummy foods and the breathtaking views on the rooftop terrace!

Have you ever been to Agadir!?
