Kotilingeshwara Temple!
Kotilingeshwara temple is a Hindu Temple located in kolar District of Karnataka.
Koti means Crore,that means one crore shivalingas.
The diety of the Temple is LordvShiva.
This temple has one of the largest shivalingams in the world.
The main attractions of the temple is Huge Shiva Linga and A nandi idol who is surrounded by ninety Lacs small lingas. The small lingas are spread all over the complex. There are few temples of other Dieties also.
This temple has the largest and tallest shiva linga in the Asia.
The priest told that there is more than ninety lacs Lingas and wanted to do One crore shivalingas by the donation of shiva lingas of various sizes. We can give our name to embedded on it. That means that If anyone wants they can place Shivalinga.
There are many more dieties like Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh , Rama ,Sita and Lakshman , Hanuman. These dieties Temples are in the same premises. The Temples Open at 6 in the morning. There is a huge complex . The Temple is very good. We can see ninety Lacs shiva lingas there. There is 20 Rs ticket for Entry.
We started our journey early in the morning. It took 2 hours to go there from bangalore. Road is nice and we can enjoy the route with beautiful view and sceni route..We had breakfast in some hotel for 30 mins and then we went for the temple.

You can see how beautifuly all the shivalingas are kept in the temple. It was very peacful to sit there for some time.
After 2 to 3 hours staying here we came back . We had dinner at restaurants and came home.
On the way to bangalaore we tried Asian and chinese restaurants KYBA.
The food was awesome and delicious.
