The journey beyond Jorbi. A hidden paradise in the Northern Himalayas.

Julley Everyone!

Just wondering and enjoying the pre-winter season here in the Himalayas as in the next few days I would not be able to hike such places as the whole region would be covered under a thick blanket of snow, So these were the days of adventure when this whole valley is as dry as a summers heat and as sunny as a day out in the beach that the whole season of the year it's not.

So just taking a risk of the unpredictable weather as at any point of the time the snowfall of a snow storm might capture us as at such an high altitude place beyond the no-tropical zone the weather is as unpredictable as it would not sound like.

Time: 3:34PM
Location: Somewhere around few minutes from Jorbi Nalla.
Calling the name of the place as somewhere around 15 Minutes as after every winters the place just seems unrecognisable as the snow in more than ten feet.

Here we were, Headed to our base camp for the day. Guys this post is from my recent past expedition about explore the Hamta Valley as the whole expedition was quite a story and so I wanted to explore and capture each and every place and moment that I can share it with you guys!

Locals from the ancient times even call this trail, A trail to heaven.
(Swagrag Lok.)

  • Many Folklore’s mentioning that people who do camp over hear sometimes hear the sound at night of that like of a person walking and taking deeper and longer breadth as if he in on his last journey to the heaven.
  • The whole region of this valley is full of mysterious of that linking to the ancient time of the Pandavas.

We were quite late, Though the destination could be seen quite right in front of us but was the dense forest which came in the middle! The thing was that this valley was at a place which was very isolated even in the interior of Manali Town. Having no cellular network at all, So was the thing with the day light that once the sun gets down roughly around 4PM the whole valley gets into the darkness.

We were all totally packed up with the essential items that we would require for our camping and stay as not knowing that how many days would we stay exploring the valley.

Even keeping extra ration so that in times of trouble we still would have food.

As this time of the season was the time when we can see the Himalayas as clearly as a crystal even the clouds they were not a cause of getting the peak get hid being the clouds and we can properly form the routes so that we can approach the places unexplored.

This Expedition was too from such the idea that during summers my Brother went to explore the valley on the right side of the valley from the top Summiting The Top most part of Bhrigu Lake. From when he captured few of the drone footages and photographs and then we made a place of approaching and exploring the valley by waiting especially for this part of the season.

Where the days were with the clear skies just right few days before the snowfall. Those few days which left for the snowfall were unpredictable. Make this decision a risky one!

After walking for a while beyond the last meadows, When we reach the jungle before the Chikka Campsite.

Though it was the day light time, Even at such a clear day the forest felt like the darkest.

The peaks of Brighu Lake were seen from this part of the forest.

For me, climbing is very tiring and a waste of time. But nature makes us always addicted to looking at it.

Rightly said @titissumiati
For me it is something that makes a purpose of my life. :) Though there are times when I wonder on my mind that why am I doing this but the last thought is that thats what keeps me alive and make my life a life.
