Today I’m sharing a few images from the boat trip. It was a windy day but as long as there’s sun I can’t complain. And when you’re at the Red Sea, it’s sunny every day. Literally.
There were a few boats parked in the haurbour. Ours looked quite similar to the one in the photo below.
I preferred this pirate one though. It’s like out of a cartoon, isn’t it?
We took out to the sea and stopped at a nearby island for some snorkelling and diving. My plan was snorkelling only as I never tried diving before. The crew was encouraging me to give it a go, after all, what better place to try it than here with crystal blue water and plenty of colorful marine life.
The instructor explained me the main three things you should pay attention to when diving: breathing, regulating pressure in your ears and keeping calm and relaxed. I dove between 5 and 10m and was accompanied by the instructor all along. To my surprise, it was extremely easy and much more pleasant than snorkelling. Not to mention the sights! I saw beautiful corals of different shapes, huge sea urchins with about 30cm long spikes, and an array of fish. It would have been great to have an underwater camera.
The boat wasn’t crowded at all. About 20 people with the crew.
On the way back, we drove by the mountains.
Sunsets are much prettier live than on the pictures so I guess you’ll have to visit yourself :)
Thank you, @achkoo & @qurator team!
