Lake Toba is one of the tourist attractions in North Sumatra. The lake formed from volcanic eruptions centuries ago produced a very beautiful and very large lake with a depth of more than 400 meters which looks more like the sea.
The scenery around Lake Toba is no less beautiful with many shady trees and cool air.
Traveling from Medan city to Lake Toba takes 4 hours. Although it is quite long, it is paid off by the scenery that is served. The expanse of the lake with dense green foliage around it.
We left in the afternoon from Medan City and arrived in Parapat after dark. I stayed at this Porapora mes with a direct view of the lake.
In the morning, the scenery was beautiful and the day was also very sunny after rain in the midnight. Everything was clearly visible. Amazing!
I decided to take a walk around with my 2 friends. We were looking for a place to enjoy the view and the very fresh morning air.
There is no corner that is not beautiful. Everything is very pretty. From the sun to the ground everything enhances the mood.
There are many places to visit here. There are also many water tours on offer. You could play jetski, banana boat, and other water toys. You could also cross over to the local area by boat. The green water provides a natural beauty like no other.
In the afternoon, we went for a boat ride. There were some local tourists on our boat. We stopped for a while at Batu gantung.
There is a tourist attraction called Batu Gantung which is located on the edge of Lake Toba. We can take a boat or speed boat for 15 minutes. Hanging stones are rocks with unique shapes. The rock looks like a woman with a small dog next to her who is hanging. This rock is considered sacred so it is recommended not to say dirty or insult the rock. There is a legend about a girl who refused to be married by her parents and ran away from home with her pet dog.
Not far away were children playing in the water. One of them, this little boy, was busy paddling his little boat around the lake. How beautiful Lake Toba is both from nature and all the customs that surround it.
