Water Sports in Cávado River - Esposende // Riding Portugal

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog :-)

Last weekend we decided to go eat ice cream by the beach and headed to Esposende, as we were going to take the opportunity to walk along the seafront. We left home with a clear and warm sky, but when we arrived at the coast it felt like we had moved to another country. It wasn't very cold but the fact that it was overcast combined with the wind that was felt made the walk less pleasant.

People retreated to their homes and cars, as not even the most resilient were able to stay on the sand.
However, this was not a reason for water sports enthusiasts to flee the place. On the contrary! The wind brought many to the water so in addition to the ice cream we were treated to a real spectacle on the Cávado River
We can increasingly find kitesurfers here and windsurfers too.

The youngest was amazed to see how quickly they moved over the water and how high they could climb when the wind was strong.
Along the waterfront we could find several stalls selling artesanto, churros, hot dogs and cotton candy! The emigrant parties were taking place but as everything was still closed it was not possible to see what they could present to us.

We ate our ice cream and went looking for a place a little further away from the coast that we hadn't explored yet. We discovered another new place, right next door. We noticed it because along the way we saw some signs and decided to go and take a look.
But that discovery is for another day :-)

I hope you enjoyed.
See you around.
Wishing you much peace and health
