Natural disasters in this world are difficult for the human mind to predict. There are things we can prevent, but high tides will prevent this disaster. The tsunami was a major disaster that occurred decades ago in our country. Especially in Aceh, this disaster was a natural disaster that resulted in high tides with very high waves hitting all coastal areas at that time. Who would have thought that this disaster could claim the lives of thousands of people and all buildings houses and other things were flattened to the ground by the waves.
Interestingly, during this wave, a floating PLTD ship belonging to PLN was carried by the current up to 5 km from the sea surface. So the ship crashed into a residential area, precisely in Punge Blang Cut village, Banda Aceh city. This ship has a fairly large hull, and now still stands firmly in residential areas. And all the hulls of the ships and the residential areas of former residents' houses still maintain their authenticity. Until now, this location has become a tourist destination as well as a historical heritage site where the tsunami wave occurred.
Actually, this is not the first time I have visited here, exactly 3 years ago I came here. But I didn't explore all areas of the ship. This time it was different, I brought my two nephews, so I thought I should take a boat along all corners of this place to provide a little education to them that the tsunami waves are history that the people of Aceh will never forget. Moreover, the residents who live around here must have really felt how powerful the tsunami waves were at that time.
We arrived exactly at 10 am, when we got there we immediately parked the car and entered the area. So, there is no fee for entry tickets here, everything is free.
When we first entered, we were greeted by a monument made in a round shape, resembling a wave. In the middle of the monument there is a board writing the names of people who died during the natural disaster. There were quite a lot of casualties in this village, I could feel the pain of the incident when I read it.

This ship stands firmly, from the front, side to back of the ship's body it still looks very strong. However, only the color has started to fade, I think the officers maintained the original color of this ship.
From afar, this ship looks very large, and has a floor and a hull. Well, interestingly, this ship is now a historical site for the tsunami in Aceh. We took the time to take photos in the area, after finishing taking some pictures together.

We climbed the stairs to the bridge which was deliberately made high around the ship. Here we can see a direct view of the floating ship. The wind is very strong in the upper area, maybe this location. Because this place is very close to the sea, the wind was very strong, plus the weather was very hot that day.

Just look at how interesting the floating ship is in this photo from above, we really enjoyed it plus the view of the mosque which stands firmly right in front of the entrance to this location.
This mosque is new, but I like the design and the colors which are made in such a way. So tourists are very comfortable visiting here because it is complete with places of worship.
After getting off the bridge that surrounds the floating ship, we went down and started exploring the floating ship.
On the first floor, I didn't find much, only a tool that resembled a steering wheel and also a large anchor. I didn't understand this tool. So, we are not allowed to enter the ship. However, when I peeked inside, it turned out that the ship was still very intact inside. The furniture in the ship's lobby kitchen is still very complete and neatly arranged. I think the caretaker takes good care of this place.

On the second floor there is a lot of ship equipment whose function I don't understand, but what I can clearly see, everything looks still very sturdy. Ahh, who would have thought that a large ship like this could be on land in the middle of a local residential area here. As if this were indeed a silent witness to the greatness of God doing all the impossible.
We also wanted to go to the next floor, but were blocked by tourists from outside neighboring countries. They were very enthusiastic about coming here to discover the history of this tsunami, guided directly by travel guides. It's great to see that many foreign countries are very curious about the enormity of the tsunami waves decades ago.
On the third floor, the top floor, there is very spacious, here the weather is very hot but it pays off with the view. Plus there are binoculars, My nephew is very enthusiastic and plays here while looking far away with binoculars. I mistakenly called it binoculars, maybe I was wrong, I don't know. What is clear is that the tool doesn't work anymore, interestingly my nephew said they could see remotely, I don't know, I didn't try it. Here we tried to walk around while looking at all areas of the ship, we also took photos near the blue pillars.

And then, We went back down to the second floor along the front area of the ship, but as we walked we saw damaged houses around the ship due to the tsunami waves. Ahh, I can't imagine the victims at that time who were under the hull of the ship. Their bodies will definitely no longer be identified, may heaven be with you all the victims.

Next, after getting off, we circled back around the park here, there is a play area and it is very spacious. However, it doesn't work anymore, maybe it's due to problems with management by officers. I'm sure this can't be handled by just a few people because the whole area is so big. Just my nephew and I couldn't go around the entire area to the back because we were very tired and the weather was very hot at that time.
