A pristine peace of natural wonder tucked into the jungle and caves of remote Florian, Santander, Colombia. Experience this place with few other local tourists at your leisure, starting with a gentle hike and ending with the imposing force of the cascading waterfalls. It's tropical, but still cool. Also, check out the other trails and even an emerging rockclimbing route network.

The Road to Florian
Traveling to the remote town of Florian by bus takes you down hours of bumpy, winding mountain roads, through small towns, and far off the beaten path of most foreign travelers. Though the ride was tough (I recommend sitting near the front) the scenery didn't disappoint, and I was glad after two days and an overnight to be in Florian.
