Road trip to Croatia: Rovinj, a dream city in Istria, pure beauty but very expensive ( ENG/ESP)

Hi hivers, here I am again to tell you about my beautiful trip to Croatia. Today I'm taking you to Rovinj where I had already been about six years ago and I fell in love with it, Rovinj is one of the prettiest cities in Istria, a real pearl, but today I have found a big flaw in it, it has become really too expensive with entry into the euro. Just think that we paid 10 and 80 euros for two hours of parking and 12 euros for two ice creams, a real steal! The city is still beautiful but these prohibitive prices are a big flaw, it is no longer the Croatia of the past which was a cheap destination, today it is more expensive than my beautiful Italy, I swear, I spent less in Florence than in the Croatian seaside cities! However we arrived in Rovinj after a morning spent in Vrsar, you can find my post on Vrsar at the bottom of the post. The road was always beautiful with breathtaking views, we blindly parked five minutes walk from the city center in one of the numerous tourist car parks also because it seems impossible to find a free space in the coastal cities. And we immediately headed towards the city center, the profile of Rovinj is magnificent as always.

Hoy os llevo a Rovinj donde ya estuve hace unos seis años y me enamoré, Rovinj es una de las ciudades más bonitas de Istria, una auténtica perla, pero hoy le he encontrado un gran defecto, realmente se ha vuelto demasiado caro con la entrada en el euro. Pensad que pagamos 10 y 80 euros por dos horas de aparcamiento y 12 euros por dos helados, ¡una auténtica ganga! La ciudad sigue siendo hermosa pero estos precios prohibitivos son un gran defecto, ya no es la Croacia del pasado la que era un destino barato, hoy es más cara que mi hermosa Italia, lo juro, gasté menos en Florencia que en el ¡Ciudades costeras croatas! La carretera siempre fue hermosa con vistas impresionantes, estacionamos a ciegas a cinco minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad en uno de los numerosos aparcamientos turísticos también porque parece imposible encontrar un lugar libre en las ciudades costeras. E inmediatamente nos dirigimos hacia el centro de la ciudad, el perfil de Rovinj es magnífico como siempre.

Rovinj is one of the most touristy coastal cities, it is located between Pula and Porec and is surrounded by some islets and a very clean and crystalline sea. It has magnificent alleys, colorful and made even more beautiful by the various souvenir shops, especially of traditional cuisine products such as truffles, lavender-based products, spices and cotton clothes, in this place everything refers to summer. This city was under Venetian rule for a long time and you can still see it in the architecture and alleys similar to those of beautiful Venice. The beauty of the alleys of Rovinj also lies in the numerous corners overlooking the sea, perfect for photos or a painting, walking through the center you often come across these graceful and beautiful corners.

Rovinj es una de las ciudades costeras más turísticas, se encuentra entre Pula y Porec y está rodeada de algunos islotes y un mar muy limpio y cristalino. Tiene magníficas callejuelas, coloridas y embellecidas aún más por las diversas tiendas de souvenirs, especialmente de productos de la cocina tradicional como trufas, productos a base de lavanda, especias y ropa de algodón, en este lugar todo remite al verano. Esta ciudad estuvo bajo dominio veneciano durante mucho tiempo y aún puedes verlo en la arquitectura y callejones similares a los de la hermosa Venecia. La belleza de las callejuelas de Rovinj también reside en los numerosos rincones con vistas al mar, perfectos para una foto o un cuadro, caminando por el centro a menudo te encuentras con estos graciosos y hermosos rincones.
