Gubbio, an Umbrian magnificence, there are no other words to describe this city which unfortunately I have only visited briefly but which has remained in my heart. Gubbio is a city that still retains its medieval appearance, walking through the streets of this city is like taking a step back in time, buildings and houses in old stone all in the warm and typical colors of Umbrian architecture, the various shades of brown and grey. Narrow, ancient streets to walk along with good trainers and nannies, churches and religious places, it is no coincidence that it is not far from Assisi. Furthermore, the history of San Francesco is closely linked to this city which is deeply dedicated to him. There is talk of miracles, legends but also confirmed historical facts that link the saint to Gubbio. I visited the city a bit quickly, unfortunately, but I had the opportunity to see some beautiful sacred buildings.
Like the large town hall, a sign of the liberation of the city and its new democratic structure, one of the most imposing town halls in Italy which elegantly overlooks the medieval city or the very rich at least inside (the churches of Gubbio being many Franciscan do not have a rich appearance but respect the simplicity of the saint) cathedral dedicated to James and Marian rich in artistic and architectural beauties obviously of a religious nature or even the simple but graceful praetorian palace. I hope to be able to return to this city for a more in-depth visit because there are many things to explore and I would really like to visit many other Umbrian cities, because Umbria is a magnificent region rich in art and culture!

What a great area and walk. I recently took an art history class and learned about the art and architecture of this region. So fun to see it in your post.
