In the past there was a lot of work here, today instead it is a town near the city, with the now disused paper mills that are collapsing and which is appreciated because it is on the hill in a position close to all the main activities but still surrounded by greenery and quiet.

Piteccio is a simple, quiet place where you can take short and pleasant walks. It is crossed by a river which during the summer is very popular due to its coolness, in winter the town is quite cold but it rarely snows. It is a simple and serene place to visit if you love small and quiet places.
