Hello world travelers, happy new year to all.

My first trip of the year was somewhat unexpected, on January 1st at night we decided to travel the next day, once our bags were packed our adventure began after noon from the city of San Francisco, passing the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge over Lake Maracaibo by car with my family, the afternoon was sunny, some clouds adorned the sky, the trip did not last more than 10 minutes and the traffic was quite fluid.

When we passed the bridge, we took the Lara-Zulia highway, after two hours on the road we could see how little by little we were approaching the mountains, until we finally reached the state of Trujillo, land of sages and saints, an hour later we were near Motatán, Our car began to fail 15 minutes before arriving but finally we could reach our destination in the town of La Cejita in the municipality of San Rafael de Carvajal about 25 minutes from the city of Valera, the weather was totally different from what we left in Maracaibo, it was very cloudy and drizzly, the journey from San Francisco, Zulia state to La Cejita Trujillo state was 3 hours and 30 minutes, making a stop of 15 minutes to refuel.

I was grateful to return to this place, here I spent many moments in my childhood and adolescence, so bringing my daughters is a fortune for me, then we went to rest and see what sites we could go out to visit the next day moving in traffic through the city of Valera to other municipalities because of the problem with the car, The next day the sun began to show, we were just staying behind the church of La Cejita, we got ready we took our backpacks, my dad and my brother stayed to solve the problem of the car and with much regret because they stayed but excited we went to our first official visit of the trip, the city of Valera.

After taking a bus for 30BS or 0, 50 cents from La Cejita to Valera, we arrived at the Plaza Bolivar, it has been two and a half years since I last visited, it looks almost the same as the last time but I was observing that some trees are no longer there and I noticed that the sloths and iguanas that were always in their trees were probably hiding from my daughters or me, the rest of their planters were very green and well maintained.

Our Liberator Simon Bolivar is the protagonist of the Plaza, his bronze statue is on a marble base in the center of the square, there are other details such as fountains in the corners with angels sitting on their tips are in disuse but I thought it was important to photograph them although I do not know their meaning.

Our passage through this area was quick but nevertheless I noticed that it is a great space for recreation and many citizens enjoyed the breeze and shade of the trees, in front of the Plaza Bolivar de Valera is the San Juan Bautista Church, but I will tell you about it in detail in another publication.

I am happy to show you every corner of my country, this year I promise to show you new places but I also want to return to those where I love to be and that fill my soul.

Until a next adventure!
