Hi everybody. How are you? I hope you're okay. Last month, when I visited Bandung, I visited a very beautiful pagoda. The name of this pagoda is the Satya Budhi Pagoda which is located in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. You know, Bandung has a history of Chinese heritage. I have already explained that starting from Banceuy street, Cibadak Street and Klenteng Street are ethnic Chinese areas in Bandung. there are a lot of chinese descent in this place.
In Bandung, a lot of Chinese culture is still preserved. Such as food, art, architecture and people's habits. In Bandung, there is a pagoda with the oldest age. The building still stands firmly in Bandung. Until now the building is still enjoyed. From a distance, it attracted a lot of attention. Starting from the gate which is decorated with the symbol of sutika. The symbol has been defined as happiness.
Moreover, the symbol is very close to the culture of the Buddhists. There are also murals that tell of the gods. The mural was built directly by a Chinese artist 130 years ago. I feel the great art in this building. Everything feels so detailed and detailed. There are three structures in this complex, namely Samudra Bhakti monastery, Satya Budhi monastery and Buddhagaya monastery.
All these temples have beautiful architecture. Never stop admiring this place. Starting from the pole carved into the shape of a dragon. Everything is so beautiful and feels so calming. From the information I know, this temple was inaugurated in 1855. At one time, this temple had the name hiap thian kong, which means palace of the gods. Therefore, do not be surprised if there are beautiful murals.
Moreover, the building in the temple has a very extraordinary meaning. The corrugated roof is represented as water. Then there is a pointed part at the end which symbolizes the boat. This reminds us all that the Chinese ancestors had to travel through the South China Sea to get to Indonesia. Finally, on the roof there is a dragon carving face to face. This place is heaven in size for Chinese descent.
For buildings outside places of worship, many colors are red, green and yellow. Then the walls of the building contain portraits of gods in bright colors. There is a unique statue in the middle of the three temples. There is a statue of a guan gong on a horse. The statue is believed to protect the people inside the building.
Finally, if you want to visit this place, you have to ask permission from the manager first. Including to take pictures of this place. Unlike others, visitors can take photos. The most important thing to visit this place, do not disturb the believers. As soon as I tell you about this place, I hope you enjoy my story.
