Another spot I have visited around Negros Oriental is this 4-hectare Our Lady's Garden in Sibulan.
When we passed by the area going to Pamplona, a big statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary caught my attention. There were also lots of plants surrounding the area. We made a U-turn to visit first this amazing place before heading to our destination but we were stopped by the security guard because it wasn't opened yet. So, we decided to just go back there on our way going home.
True enough, on our way home, we had a short stop by the area. When we entered the gate, an entrance fee amounting to Php100 was collected. With this amount, you are given all access to roam around and enjoy the whole place.
It is situated on top of the mountain, thus, giving us a vast view of nature. Going up, I noticed the entrance with a short bridge on top and a wall of huge roots hugging the rocks. It looked spectacular as it was my first time seeing the huge roots of a tree blanketing the rocks.
I was curious enough about its name so I asked some of the workers I met there. According to them, this paradise is constructed in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary who appeared in the owner's dream. This place is originally for the owner's rest house and by that dream, they have converted the place into paradise where nature, humans, and tranquility meet.
The place is around four hectares. Ornamental plants, fruit-bearing plants, trees, and many more made this place a must-see one. I was welcomed with a roof made from the shades of trees.
Roads are asphalted for easier and more convenient visits to the place. You can roam around with your vehicle but I preferred walking because I could get to see every single detail in the area. Briskly walking, I was able to examine the areas I found amazing.
I could not contain the vibes of the scenery. Here, fresh air is free and unlimited. Everything here looks beautiful and perfect. It's like a paradise on earth.
If you get exhausted roaming around this huge space, they also have huts and chairs for you to rest. The swings and benches are placed under the shade of the trees, giving us the comfort we need. With this view, my senses were stunned. Truly, a paradise in the mountains.
Our Lady's Garden also features Jo's Restaurant, famous with its delicious chicken. It also has branches in Cebu. It was my first time trying their best seller chicken in Dumaguete which I already shared in my previous blog.
Their restaurant is not that big, but it is enough to cater to guests who want to have their lunch or any meal in the area.
All in all, the place is heavenly. There is no spot here that is lame and boring to watch. Everything has its beauty to offer and your entrance fee is much worth it.
The place is also perfect for spiritual enrichment. You'll know why in my next blog.
This is all for now. Keep safe everyone. Until the netswriting.
