Great post about our regular weekend getaway from Bangkok. It's a pity you didn't get to see the poignant and stunningly neat war cemetery there but you certainly got through everything else! If you do ever go again with your own transport, continue on the same road further west, you can get right into the mountains on the border with Burma and there are some amazing views up there.
