** The Rajgan Mosque is located on one side of Mabali. It is located on the northern bank of the Khanpur Dam reservoir. It is locally known as 'Rajon's Mosque' (Rajon's Mosque), and is generally deserted except for Eid gatherings.**

The mosque was built in 1872 by Raja Sultan Jehandad Khan, the grandfather of Raja Sikandar Zaman Khan, a senior parliamentarian and former chief minister of NWFP. Raja Sultan was also the founder of the old Khanpur village which was present on the present site of the reservoir.

The mosque was the center of religious activity in the area until the 1970s, when construction of the Khanpur Dam began, and other mosques were built around it.

Architects were brought from Delhi to build the mosque. They used bricks and black stone as the main materials, while wood was imported from Lipa Valley for doors, cupboards and roofs. The building follows Islamic architecture, and therefore has four minarets (two large and two small). Another dome-shaped minaret is located in the center. It has a large shrine and a dilapidated brick courtyard that needs to be repaired.

The four-arched entrance to the mosque and the main entrance to the Jama Masjid, Delhi, are replicas of them, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656.

There is some controversy over the origin of the black stone used to build the boundary wall, some say it was imported from India, and others claim it came from the nearby town of Taxila.

It was built to accommodate about 1,000 worshipers. However, it has now been abandoned. Sometimes Eid prayers are offered in the mosque.

The mosque is usually surrounded by water from July to September when Khanpur Lake fills to the maximum level of protection. These humid conditions are not conducive to the structure of the mosque. In addition, carved wooden doors have been stolen, which can sometimes allow stray animals to enter. The adjoining cemetery is in a state of disrepair, with old graves scattered and many name plates destroyed.
