Dubai Marina Walk and Beach

The name Dubai fills my heart with joy. At present, the expo is going on and the entire city is bustling with excitement. Expo2020 will run until March. While out and about we went to this one area in called The Marina.

As beautiful as the name is, it is just as beautiful to look at! When my children were just kids we used to come here to eat "Chicken Makina" - Arabic for rotisserie chicken. Look at how much has changed since then!

There are canals cut out from the sea and beautiful small boats and Dhow cruises are arranged in here. My mind always becomes eager to float in the water. At night, the place comes alive in the glow of beautiful colorful lights. Rows and rows of small boats can be rented by anyone privately and driven from the entire Marina to Deira Dubai.

The Dhow cruises are much bigger so they have to go around with a lot more passengers. They also have lunch and dinner options on it. There are different events and fairs along the way. There are different songs and dance performances, too. Dhow cruises are functional in specific times, you can use the time of your choice.

The Marina has large modern buildings throughout the area. It is an incredibly beautiful view. There are many hotels, too. Tourists from outside the country stay in those hotels. During the summer months (April, May, June, July, August, September and October), tourists from major winter countries flock to Dubai. Each hotel has a swimming pool, gym and saloon.

All kinds of markets and outdoor food shops and heritage shops are scattered in the are. You can shop for whatever your heart wishes. Strict security is present in every building. There is no fear of an accident in Marina which is full of CCTV cameras. Police cars are also patrolling all the time.

The roads at Marina are clean and beautiful! There's an overhead bridge above the waters for pedestrians and a bridge for vehicular traffic. The Dubai train is also traveling on the same road. The signals are open according to time and close the road again. There are also plenty of facilities for walking. It looks very beautiful at night. During hot weather, people move around more at night. The water and open area makes it so much more enjoyable at night as compared to the hot days.

You can also see airplanes flying towards the airports and landing. People, cars, government buses are running all the time. There is so much security at every corner. If someone loses their way, the local police do not hesitate to make all the arrangements to get to the right place.

There is a beach on the other side, where different exhibitions take place. There are small shops on the shore selling perfume and scents. It is easy to buy while walking. Marina is a place that must be enjoyed in person!
