They is a specific station on the metro which is named after this place known as shalamar Garden station we just went over there and getting out of the metro station visa the Grand walls of the royal Garden in front of us just kept working and on our way why noticed this huge Pavilion like thing I think this might be a players to which usually are in afford where you really a soldier is standing for inspection.
On our way we both noticed this door and for a moment my heart stopped beating because we had already travelled 70 km to see this Garden and I was thinking that the door is closed but an old man who was passing said that this is not main door the main entrance door is a that way and this door is usually remain closed.
Present and past of Lahore in a single image on the left side you can see the antique sanctuaries old huge was and on the made out of limestone and organic materials but on the right side you can see long there is a flyover on which if you will look closer there is a metro train coming out I think innovation and conservation can survive at the same time and this images approve of it.
Here we go, this is the main gate from where usually tourist go inside I didn't capture one more image but I am not posting it in which I got the photo of ticket booth because I don't want to upload a file of images I already uploaded images more than enough but I want to document my each moment this is the main entrance gate.
Once we entered with saw something which we didn't mean to see this block was blocked with huge walls from all the sides and we were thinking that this is the garden that we were wrong whenever move ahead we found our way which opened into the real and royal Grand Garden and that was something by the way this is an old pavilion located on the right side when we enter in the garden.
On my way my friend was again asking me to capture his images and shoot his tik tok videos and we were enjoying it and there we find three boys hanging around and one of them asked me why not to capture image of allum those and I captured an image for them and I as you know I am extratorrent person that I love making friends so they also join us for a time.
After passing through this huge pavilion we meet Arrow of fountains unluckyley they were not active and when I asked the guide that why they are not activate told me that the only remained active in this season of summer and I said OK we will visit again in summer 😆.
Here is a mesmerizing view of the flora and fauna in the garden most of the plants which are still surviving are of mangoes and other fruit Garden but once when it was firstly made it is written in the books of history that the garden was filled with the imported plants from Kandhar(Afghanistan) and plants of apple, apricot, almonds, Cherry and other decorative plants were implanted who remained and many of those evergreen plants also implanted.
I don't think that this huge bought is from the Mughal era it seems to be installed just a fewdeckers ago as I don't think this kind of stuff good survive through sanctuaries but who knows it might be centuries old but there were Marigold flowers were blooming in it.
There was hardly enough water to suck your feet in the fountain it was almost an inch as decide that in winter the fountains most of the fountains remained dry they are only active in summer as it is supposed to be a summer Garden.
There was a grandboard on one side of the garden on which everything was written about the garden the history and the features so you can open the image and zoom and read yourself that what this grand board is saying.
There were two passages like this which opens to the real area of the garden and let me tell you that the garden overall is built on 42 acres and this was the passage I think the use to be
When we enter to this area I heard a very relaxing sound of running of a stream and I witness a narrow canal with originally fresh and clear water I have no idea but from the angle I have capture this images is looking like a water but it was freshly Crystal clear water have no idea from where it was coming out but it was fresh and the garden is filled with such I can also canal and huge ponds.
There were to pavilions like this against each other and in between them there was a huge marble board standing in centre of the heart of the garden on which according to them history the royal were used to set and mesmerizing this amazing nature.
I have no idea what to called this buildings in English because there are pure Urdu words or names suggested for these but I will call them any building looking with the roof and pillars I would call it Pavilion in English so these are pure marble pavilions against each other and in the area beneath you can see those places to eat with 🪔 and honest very night the thousands of lights reflecting through and refracting through water fountains what else could be fascinating than this.
One more close short of these pavilions and in this image you can see those area down area more clearly I saw that the edges of deepavali damaged as it is something centuries old and the government didn't did enough renovate.
Standing in the centre of this the failure in was the best thing I did in the Lahore on one side there was huge water body and on the one side I can Sa the garden field with mango trees.
One more lucky thing about this Garden was dead unlikely the tomb of Noor Jahan and the Sheesh Mahal like Devil hardly damaged during the Sikh era this was lucky enough to survive through the rain of sick so the Ranjit Singh was the you can call him king of Punjab at that time only remove the rare gents place and many places in the garden but the overall Garden remained in tact.
I capture this image sitting in the centre of red sandstone Pavilion which is called deewani Haas here it was again actually in the Mughals buildings and architecture was built on such your matrical and symmetrical shapes that wherever you will stand you will feel like fitting in that place as you can see in this image.
There were a lot of buildings in the garden as he said the garden consists of 42 acres so even though I walk for a day I couldn't complete my visit to the garden I captured one more shot of this building which is situated on the left side if we stand facing towards east if you will look closer you can see there is some tilted slope actually there are tiny halls in it and it is used as a waterfall which leads to I can all and then fell in the main pond.
One more not able thing which I saw that those marble pavilions look more shot when we sadhan in the trees the look more missing and both colours have a great combination I think white and green the body water was monkey and green as it was winter and awaited when the summer will arrive.
Centuries old marble tiny passages hand crafted passage made for 🪔 when I saw this I thought that that tall person couldn't fit into them but it is made in such as I that it seems narrow and congested place but it isn't an average human can walk throughout very easily.
Passing through that tiny marble straight I captured this image and I was so much impressed that how big this Garden is you can say almost half a kilometre long fountain stream and then there is another Pavilion in front of me to far I was so much tired at the stage that I couldn't motivate myself to work to the other side of the garden.
This is some of the crumbling sites of the garden this place was once used to be as a royal bath houses but now they are just being crumbling with the passage of time the only thing which is still surviving are those rat sandstone and bricks and other part is crumbling and vanishing with the passage of time if the didn't.
Attack a pile of millions of hand baked bricks staked and with symmetrical geometrical shapes but now they are just dying with the best of time and it was very sad side of the garden that the government is doing nothing for this you can see that some part is covered with limestone or mortal but it is crumbled away.
At the stage it's already been 3 to 4 hours we were roaming around the garden and mesmerizing its natural beauty and architecture and I think it was enough and then we started coming back and I again captured this image while ascending towards this stairs the tip of Pavilion was visible among the streets Sky was blue and random vultures were flying in the highs.
When I entered in the garden I didn't took sort of this images as I was excited to see the main Garden buildings but on the way I was coming back I captured and inside and outside image of this marble Pavilion this was also crumbling the way and was no more than but it was a bit renovated and was not that bad you can see those tiny cards if you give yourself can write them as well.
That's it this was all I tried myself to write everything what I witnessed over there and how much we enjoyed not gonna lie but I forgot to take my personal images and this was the only image I took then we were again heading toward the metro station you can see how grand was of the garden and on the other side of people huge and old trees that's it that's was all for today's article I hope you guys would enjoy and I have documented everything don't forget to give your positive compliments see you next time.
