After we hiked up to the top of the village, at last, we arrived at the Pangu King Temple. The view from the top of the village was just incredibly beautiful. 😮 The range of the mountains was like a Chinese painting.  What a beautiful view it was!!

One the way back from the top of the village, it was nice to go through the village met some Yao people. Some of them were eating their lunch and the children were outside and playing with their friends.

I thought that it was a shrine for phallus worship as the symbol of power. Well, very interesting.

A wonderful encounter before we left the village of Yao

Have you ever heard of the word, "ichigo, ichie"? It means that "for this time only", or "once in a lifetime".

Ichi-go ichi-e (Japanese: , pronounced [it͡ɕi.ɡo it͡ɕi.e], lit. "one time, one meeting") is a Japanese four-character idiom (yojijukugo) that describes a cultural concept of treasuring the unrepeatable nature of a moment. The term has been translated as "for this time only", and "once in a lifetime". - Wikipedia

For me, it was like a ichi-go ichi-e, once in a lifetime moment to encounter this old Yao man in the village. He walked towards us and asked us if we would like to see his dance. I thought it was some sort of performance for tourists, and well, maybe it was; however, it turned out that it was a wonderful experience to see his performance!

It was nice of him to bring a musical instrument from his home to use for my mother. Haha! Nice experience!

We all learned how to play the drum. 😀😀😀

We never know what kinds of encounters you will have on your trip. Meeting up with cool people during my travel is one of my favorite things I expect in the trip. Encountering wonderful people while I travel makes my travel blog very interesting and unique. Ichi-go ichi-e, in my trip to the Yao village, was just unforgettable. 😊

Thank you very much!! And, bye bye! 😄🖐🖐

When we were leaving the village, his wife came out of the house and said bye to us. What a cute couple of Yao! Thank you for the dance performance!
