Kaway Resort and Spa - Tabuelan, Cebu

I've been wanting to share a wonderful experience my family and I had a few months ago. You know that feeling when something is so wonderful that you have a hard time putting it in writing? This one is one of those instances.

It was May this year that my family and I were invited to spend 3 days and two nights in a beautiful resort situated kilometers away from Cebu City. Along with other families, we enjoyed our stay with less to zero expense. Yes, you read it right. Accommodation and food were paid for by our super generous friends.

The Resort

Our friend found out about this Maldives-inspired resort in Tabuelan, Cebu named Kaway Resort and Spa. It is 84 km away from the city. Aside from the beach, it also has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, and a restaurant. You can directly jump or dive into the sea from your room balcony. Amazing!

Arrival

For our ride to the resort, we rented two 14 seater - van. We were Eight families all in all. Thirty persons including small children. It was a great sight to see us together having fun.

Upon arrival, we were told that the rooms were not yet ready so we stood by the reception and the pool area while waiting. The children can't wait to jump into the pool. They changed into their swimming attire and splash! 😁

When the rooms were ready, one was assigned to our family. Others shared rooms since a room can accommodate several persons. Our room assignment was facing the shore. Others the sea view. Nonetheless, every room gives you a different yet amazing view of nature.

The Accommodation

Each room is fully airconditioned with comfy beds with hot and cold shower. With a terrace, that allows the guests to view what is outside. It also serves as a way if you want to jump into the seawater. The hallways leading to the rooms are made of bamboo giving it a natural look, with cogon grass on the roof.

Other Amenities

Guests can go swimming at the pool and the beach. There are also kayaks free to use. My husband and children tried the kayaks while I was relaxing and watching them at the shore under the shade of a tree.

If you don't feel like dipping yourself in the water, there is a billiard table and mahjong to keep you entertained.

At night, guests can also do karaoke. You can sing your heart out while other guests eating at the restaurant can hear your tunes. 😀 During our stay, it felt like the resort was exclusive to us because there were no other guests.

We had karaoke night! Taking turns singing the songs we like to sing!😀 We had fun! We have videos taken too to remind us of what we've done. LOL

The food was also great. And they have remarkable staff. Making our stay more enjoyable.

Overall Experience

Our stay at this resort allowed us to see nature unfold right before our very eyes. Referring specifically to the sunrise and sunset. The sound of the waves gives a relaxing feeling too. We had the time to connect with nature away from the busy life in the city where we live.

In three days, we were able to bond with our friends while enjoying the food and the place. For a short time, we did not think of how to pay the bills 😂. Not thinking of how to pay for the experience. 😀😂It was a wonderful feeling so to speak.

What made this holiday experience unforgettable was that we were one of the recipients of the generosity of our friends. From transportation, hotel accommodation, and food it was all paid for.
We are indeed grateful beyond measure!

I will recommend this resort to anyone who wants a getaway from the chaos of living in the city. You can just Google it right there and then book your stay with them.
