After being satisfied walking around Sibolangit, my husband and I decided to relax our bodies which were starting to feel sore from our trip. We decided to take a hot sulfur bath which is not far from Panatapan Berastagi. Soaking in hot sulfur water directly sourced from the mountain, according to the community's opinion, is able to reduce itchy skin caused by fungi.
Pariban hot spring is located in the Lau Debuk-Debuk area, Doulu area, Berastagi sub-district, Karo district, North Sumatra. In Lau Debuk - Debuk there are actually many hot springs of sulfur originating from the flow of Mount Sibayak, but recently Pariban hot springs are superior to other hot springs.
Pariban hot spring is the prima donna in the Lau Debuk-debuk area compared to the surrounding hot springs because in this place there are so many interesting photo spots and deliberately created by the manager to satisfy the visitors' selfie desire.
In Pariban Hot Springs, there are about 10 hot tubs for both adults and children. There is a fairly high slide in the hot water pool which is intended for children so that children do not feel bored and of course it is safe and free from cold.
If you intend to bathe in the hot sulfur pool here, you must wear suitable clothes, because after we finish bathing, the smell of our clothes is very strong like someone who has just waste the wind. 😂😂. and choose a swimming pool with few people bathing so that you get privacy, especially during the current Covid 19 pandemic.
The weakness in this Pariban hot spring is, in addition to the expensive entrance fee, which is Rp. 20,000 per person and the vehicle parking fee is RP. 5000 for two wheels and RP. 15,000 for four wheels. While in other places only Rp. 10,000 for two-wheeled vehicles and Rp. 20,000 for four-wheeled vehicles at the same time you are free to enter and soak as much hot water as you like. Then in Pariban hot springs there is also no VVIP place like in the hot springs around the place, so visitors are very crowded to be in these hot springs.
Due to the density of visitors in Pariban, my husband and I finally decided not to soak in hot sulfur water especially during this pandemic where there are no adequate health protocols in this place, so we just enjoy the scenery around Pariban.
Inside the Pariban Bathing Area, apart from the many photo spots that can pamper visitors, visitors can also rent Korean-style clothes and are directed by professional photographers at a cost of renting clothes and photos of around Rp. 10,000. You can also enjoy walking around the Pariban area using an APV which you can rent at a price of RP. 25,000 per 15 minutes, besides that here also provides a photo spot area for pre wedding events with prices starting from RP. 500,000 to Rp. 1. 500,000.
In this pariban, there are also quite a lot of canteen and toilet facilities and there is a small shower that flows fresh water without the smell of sulfur so that visitors can rinse their bodies from the pungent smell of sulfuric water.
Our conclusion is that we have a vacation to this Pariban hot spring, if you want to bathe in sulfur hot water, you should not in this place, because it is not comfortable with the crowds of visitors who come, but if you visit this place just to relax and take photos to capture the moment, then in Pariban This is the perfect place for your vacation. Enjoy your holiday
Almost forgot that Pariban is truly a paradise for those of you who like to take pictures, with the stunning Sibayak mountains in the background, various types of flowers blooming and not in the field or other areas, various food menus in the canteen, beautiful koi fish that waddling like a model, a giant catfish, which obviously Pariban is still the prima donna for those of you who have a passion for photography, good luck.
