Soulful Rural Stroll.....

in Worldmappin7 months ago

Travel brings peace of mind, and along with peace, it opens the path to self-discovery. Whenever I go to my village home, I almost always start my mornings with earphones plugged in, going for a walk. Especially during winter, walking along the village dirt roads gives me a special kind of peace.

The peace I find while walking on village roads. I don’t know where else I could find such a peaceful walk. Eid-ul-Adha was three days ago, so I thought I’d write a little something about it today. In almost every village household, cows or goats are raised. Some even raise both. They nurture them so beautifully, almost like family members.

On this journey, I went to my mother's uncle's house. The place is located between the S.D. Khan Union Parishad and Moktar Hat in the Barisal district.

That day, during my walk, I noticed many houses where cows and goats were being raised. Among them, a half-paved mud house caught my attention. I’ve had a fondness for such simple houses since childhood. Right beside that house was another one, and they kept cows. That was the first time I really looked into a cow’s eyes. So beautiful! Eyes lined with what looked like kohl, so soulful.

As I kept walking, seeing the tenderness in that cow’s eyes, I discovered a new part of myself. Not just a travel lover, but an animal lover too! After all, isn’t self-discovery one of the key goals of traveling through life?
