Trip to Philadelphia Deu/Eng

Hallo liebe Community,
heute möchte ich Euch die Stadt Philadelphia einmal etwas näher vorstellen. Eine Ostküstenmetropole der USA deren Besuch für uns lange Jahre auf der To do Liste Stand.

Philadelphia die Stadt der Gründerväter und natürlich von Rocky Balboa hat sehr viel zu bieten. Der Besuch der ganzen historischen, allen voran natürlich der Freedom Bell, würde alleine schon einen ganzen Urlaub dauern. Sehr interessant sind die unzähligen Museen und man kann Geschichte live erleben, zum Beispiel den Raum in dem der national Kongress die Unabhängigkeitserklärung unterzeichnet hat.

Aber auch ein einfacher Spaziergang durch die alten Teile der Stadt bietet hervorragende Einblicke in die tolle Architektur vergangener Zeiten. Die alten Gebäude mit ihren mächtigen Säulen sind schon sehr erhaben und machen einen das ein oder andere Mal sprachlos.

Wir hatten das Glück über Halloween dort zu sein und das ist überall in den USA natürlich noch mal etwas besonderes. Die Häuser sind geschmückt, die Vorgärten oft zu Friedhöfen umgebaut und an jeder Ecke läuft einem ein Gespenst über den Weg. Die einen etwas gruseliger als die anderen :-)

Ein tolles Erlebnis war auch der besuch eine s Footballspiels. Das war so was von aufregend auch wenn es nur ein Highschoolspiel war. Bis auf etwas weniger Zuschauer ( trotzdem noch sehr viele im Vergleich zu Deutschland ) alles wie in der NFL. Nationalhymne, Cheerleader, Marschkapelle, alles da. Einfach schön.

Also ein Besuch von Philadelphia bekommt von mir beide Daumen nach oben. Ist bei Euerer nächsten reise in die USA in jedem fall eine Beachtung wert.

Hello dear community,
Today I would like to introduce you to the city of Philadelphia. An East Coast metropolis of the USA whose visit for us for many years on the to do list.

Philadelphia the city of the founding fathers and of course of Rocky Balboa has a lot to offer. The visit of the whole historical, above all of course the Freedom Bell, would last alone already a whole vacation. Very interesting are the countless museums and you can experience history live, for example the room in which the national congress signed the Declaration of Independence.

But also a simple walk through the old parts of the city offers excellent insights into the great architecture of past times. The old buildings with their mighty columns are already very sublime and make you speechless one or the other time.

We were lucky to be there over Halloween and that is everywhere in the U.S. of course something special again. The houses are decorated, the front yards are often converted into cemeteries and on every corner a ghost runs over the way. Some are a bit creepier than others :-)

A great experience was also the visit of a football game. That was so exciting even if it was only a high school game. Except for a little less spectators (still very many compared to Germany) everything was like in the NFL. National anthem, cheerleaders, marching band, everything there. Simply beautiful.

So a visit to Philadelphia gets both thumbs up from me. Is worth your next trip to the U.S. in any case a note.
