Travel Guide

• From downtown Cebu, go to North Bus Terminal in SM City Cebu.
• Ride a bus going to Tabuelan.
• Drop off will be at the Public Market on which you can rent or ride a motorcycle going to the town of Maravilla.
• If you are lucky enough, there are some buses that will drop you exactly at the town.
• after reaching the bus stop in Maravilla, you will walk for about 150 meters from the road to the shoreline.

Where to stay?

• There are plenty of rooms offered on the beach, the cost of each room ranged from $25 USD to $100 USD depending on the quantity of people that will stay.
• For day users, you can rent a cottage which cost only for $20 USD.

My Experience

April 3, 2021 - Cebu, Philippines .
It was Holy week, to end it, we decided to have a long ride from Cebu City going to Tabuelan. It was really fun and full of excitement since it is our first summer vacation of the year. I am with my fellow basketball teammates, childhood buddies.

We travel from Cebu City around 1 pm of April 3, 2021. Traveling with motorcycle is not that easy because it was very far. Travel time was about 2 hours, we reached the beach around 3 pm. We rent a room for overnight use.

Sunset - 5:30 pm, Even with the poorest quality picture, you can still see the beauty of the place by watching the sun setting.

We take the opportunity to unwind and put all the stress out. We are not the cutest people living but we are handsome on our own way even we are drunk.

There are carenderia or a small restaurant near the shoreline, you can have your dinner or breakfast there that will only cost for about $2 USD each.

Beers are very affordable, vacation with alcohol will be more memorable than a vacation without alcohol. Beers will prevent you from getting the Covid-19 virus since the beer contents alcohol. Naah I was just kidding, we of course think for our safety. We wear mask while we were outside our room or roaming around the beach.

With $50 USD per person, you can enjoy a 2 days and 1 night vacation. Or if you have your own cooking utensils, you can save more.

Our expenses as a group

Dinner - $10 USD for Chicken and Pork Barbeque, 2 servings of Rice each,2 liters Softdrinks).
Barkada Room - $50 USD, 5 beddings with own CR and electricity.
Beer and Snacks- $30 USD, 12 bottles of beer and Chips
Breakfast - $8 USD, noodles served with rice and coffee/milk
Gasoline - $5 USD each motorcycle

We went home on April 4, 2021 11:00 AM, reaching cebu at around 1 pm. While going home , there are some locals selling "Pasalubong" or souvenirs. It can be a thing or a food. I bought "Bibingka" or Rice Cake and "Suka" or Coconut Vinegar mixed with spices like chilli, ginger and onions.

We support locals, its a way of helping their business.

AMAZING - thats the only word i can described to Tabuelan. When you expect nothing but the nature gave you more fascinating views.

LEAVE NO TRACE
Lets be responsible enough in protecting our nature, responsible enough to throw our waste on the proper garbage bins. We, travelers leave no trace.
