Late last year, my brother @rivalzzz and I went on a trip to the beautiful island of Ko Tao in Thailand. We had an incredible time there, filled with days of relaxation, soaking up the sun, exploring the stunning beaches, and immersing ourselves in the local culture. One day, as we were strolling around the island looking for something fun to do, we stumbled upon a local mini-golf course. Neither of us had played mini-golf in ages, so we thought, why not give it a go? Little did we know, this spontaneous decision would turn out to be one of the most memorable parts of our trip.

The mini-golf course was set in a charming little spot surrounded by greenery, and the vibe there was super relaxed. The entry fee was quite cheap, which was a nice surprise, and once you rented the balls and clubs, you were free to play as many rounds as you wanted. It felt like such a great deal, especially considering how much fun we ended up having. We started off with the standard 18-hole course, which was already a lot of fun. Each hole had its own quirky challenges, and we got really competitive, trying to outdo each other with trick shots and hole-in-ones. But the real fun began when we discovered the “Goofy Golf” section of the course.

The "Goofy Golf" added a whole new layer of craziness to the game. This part of the course was designed to make things more challenging—and way more hilarious. Some of the rules and setups were absolutely ridiculous. For instance, at one point, we had to hit the ball using the golf club like a billiard cue, which was way harder than it sounds! Another challenge required us to stand on one leg while taking our shot. Keeping your balance while aiming and trying to stay focused is no easy task, especially when you’re already laughing so hard at the absurdity of it all. But the most hilarious challenge of them all was the one where we had to spin around three times in a circle before trying to take a shot. As you can imagine, this made things incredibly disorienting, and none of us could get it right on the first try—or the second, for that matter. I tried to give it my best shot, but, as you might expect, I completely missed. We captured that moment on video, and every time I watch it, I can’t help but crack up.

We ended up spending a good few hours at the mini-golf course, playing multiple rounds, and trying all the challenges. The atmosphere was just perfect for a laid-back afternoon. There were even a few other tourists and locals there, and it was fun to see everyone having such a good time. The course was well-maintained, and the staff was super friendly, which made the experience even better. Plus, the whole setting, with the palm trees swaying and the sound of the ocean in the background, added a unique touch to the game that you just don’t get at regular mini-golf courses.

Reflecting on that day, I have to say that it’s one of those experiences that really sticks with you. It wasn’t just about the mini-golf itself, but the whole vibe, the spontaneous decision, the laughs, the challenges, and the moments of utter ridiculousness that made it so special. If you ever find yourself on Ko Tao, I can’t recommend this mini-golf course enough. It’s a great way to spend a few hours, have a lot of laughs, and make some lasting memories without breaking the bank. And who knows, maybe you'll even discover your hidden talent for "Goofy Golf"!
