RE: Streets of Rome: A Timeless Journey Through Time and Architecture | Rome, Italy

We went some years ago and it was really packed with people that I just wasn't in the mood to explore the city at all. I think it was a pity, Rome being a victim bof its own success. I'd love to go back again if it's less crowded, till then, I've enjoyed my virtual trip here.

I fully agree with you that Rome is very crowded and packed with tourists. We went there in May and it was full of people. I haven't posted those photographs full of tourists. We went to Trevi Fountain early morning around 6 am to take pictures otherwise it's almost impossible to take photos in front of Trevi Fountain later in the day. Just to take one photograph, you need to wait a long time so that you get an empty space to take a picture comfortably. It is very annoying. Another fact is that thieves are all over Rome; you have to be very careful with your bag and wallet. The less crowded season is only September, that's what the Taxi driver told me back then.

So, I can relate to your experience because it's very difficult to find a comfortable space in Rome. You can't enjoy iconic landmarks because of the crowd...But Rome is truly nice...

Completely Agree...

Thanks Pauline for stopping by, I am glad I gave you a short virtual trip to Rome...
