I just found the post, it was by @article61 a local. And I remember reading it back then, it was an epic post about the city. I'm glad I didn't revisit when I wrote mine, really puts mine to shame

Sadly I don't read much and haven't heard of Ivanhoe, but I am aware of Walter Scott as there's a big monument dedicated to him in Edingburgh city centre and I remember thinking what a remarkable structure when I first saw it.
