The Kuala Lumpur City Gallery is located at Raja street, Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and holds a permanent exhibition focusing on the history of the city.
Here we can see photos and miniatures from the city of KL. Kuala Lumpur used to be a tin mining town from the 19th century. Then slowly it became the administrative center of British Malaya.
This building looks very distinctive from the outside. The walls are painted ivory white combined with exposed red brick. Thick neo-Renaissance style mixed with touches of Indian architecture.
This building was previously used as the center of the British government's printing office in Malaysia. But then it changed functions several times. Until finally it was converted into the KL City Gallery and opened to the public in 1989.
At KL City Gallery there is also a cafe to enjoy and enjoy time with friends and family.
