Hi peeps!
It's been a long time since my last blog as my schedule was so heavy in the last few weeks. As promised, I'm back with another post about Dubrovnik. This time, I will show you the stunning beaches and islands of this beautiful city.
If you want to escape from the bustle of Dubrovnik, I highly recommend you to spend a day visiting Lokrum island. It only took me almost 15 minutes to go to Lokrum from Dubrovnik's Old Town by a ferry. The round-trip ticket is 200 kn (around 27 eur), but thanks to my ISIC student card, I only had to pay 30 kn (around 5 eur). Thus, if you have the ISIC, make sure you have it with you during a Dubrovnik trip. In addition, the port is in the Old Town so it is very easy to find.
The island is a nature reserve by UNESCO.There are many attractions that are worth visiting on the island such as the Botanical Garden, The Monastery, The Dead Sea, and the Fort Royal. The island is also a nice spot to go swimming despite its rocky beaches(retrieved from https://www.visit-croatia.co.uk/croatia-destinations/dubrovnik/lokrum/). Besides, if you are a fan of Games of Thrones, you can also find a reproduction of the iron throne on this island. The island is also another filming location for this well-known HBO series of HBO (retrieved from https://lokrumisland.com/lokrum/). One more important thing, since this place is a nature reserve, there are certain things that visitors are not allowed to do on the island such as smoking, lighting fires or staying overnight (retrieved from https://dodubrovnik.com/day-trips/lokrum-island). As I remember, there is also no vehicle allowed on the island so make sure you wear comfortable shoes when you get there.

Stunning rocky shores of Lokrum.
Crystal clear water on the island.
Another place with a beautiful beach view in Dubrovnik is Banje beach. The beach is very easy to reach. You only have to walk out from the Old Town and walk towards the East for a few meters, the Banje beach will be on your right side (retrieved from https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/banje-beach/). There are a lot of activities you can do on this beach, for example, sun-bathing, jet ski or speed boat. Personally, this is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Just sitting on the beach and enjoying its view really helps me to relax as every corner of the beach is gorgeous.
As I said, the beach is beautiful in every corner.
That's all for today's post!
Thank you and see you next time <3
You got me at Game of Thrones :D Those clear waters just make me want to dive in.
Thanks to @pinmapple I got to see this :)
So you are also a fan of GoT? If you visit Lokrum, don't forget to try the iron throne 😁
I have seen some GOT episodes but didn't really finish it but I do want to visit someday some of the locations just like this.
