Argentina - A sunset walk in Puerto Limonao in Chubut: having a rest after a great day enjoying nature. / Un paseo en el atardecer en el Puerto Limonao en Chubut: descansando un poco después de un gran día disfrutando la naturaleza. 😃❤️

Although summer was slowly leaving this part of the world, we could still enjoy days with plenty of sunshine. This is ideal if you like to be outdoors, doing some trekking, taking a walk or just relaxing. When my friend Agos and I were hiking in Los Alerces National Park, in the province of Chubut, we took full advantage of this: we had little time scheduled in the park, so we wanted to enjoy the day as much as we could. So it was that, after a day of trekking in the mountains, we took advantage of the last bit of sunshine at a spot we also wanted to visit: Puerto Limonao 😃.

A pesar de que el verano lentamente se estaba yendo de esta parte del mundo, todavía podíamos disfrutar de días con bastante luz del sol. Esto es ideal si te gusta estar al aire libre, haciendo algo de trekking, paseando un poco o simplemente descansando. Cuando mi amiga Agos y yo estuvimos de paseo en el Parque Nacional Los Alerces, en la provincia de Chubut, aprovechamos esto al máximo: teníamos poco tiempo programado en el parque, por lo que queríamos disfrutar el día todo lo que pudiéramos. Así fue como, después de una jornada de trekking en la montaña, aprovechamos el último rato de sol en un punto que también queríamos visitar: el Puerto Limonao 😃.

When we finished coming down from our not so exciting hike on the Cinco Saltos trail, we decided to spend some time in Puerto Limonao. From this port some of the boats that travel along the great Futalaufquen Lake leave, but there is also the hosteria of the same name, the most elegant in the park. Visiting this place if you are visiting the park is also interesting, so we didn't want to miss it. We arrived with just the right time of sunshine, but we could still get some nice postcards 😃.

Cuando terminamos de bajar de nuestra no tan emocionante caminata en el sendero de los Cinco Saltos, decidimos pasar un rato por el Puerto Limonao. Desde este puerto salen algunas de las embarcaciones que recorren el gran Lago Futalaufquen, pero también se encuentra la hostería homónima, la más elegante dentro del parque. Visitar este lugar si estas de visita en el parque también es interesante, por lo que no queríamos perdernoslo. Llegamos con la hora justa de sol, pero todavía podiamos tener algunas buenas postales 😃.

The location of this park is more than privileged and we were lucky enough to be able to walk around the lake from both sides. From each side we had beautiful views, so I was glad we had enough time to see it all. My friend Agos and I took advantage of this place to rest a bit after the trekking and also to have some mates. I like drinking mates but not making them, and she had everything to prepare them, so even in that we made a good team 😅.

La ubicación de este parque es más que privilegiada y tuvimos la suerte de poder recorrer el lago desde sus dos lados. Desde cada uno de ellos tuvimos vistas hermosas, así que me alegró haber tenido el tiempo suficiente para verlo todo. Mi amiga Agos y yo aprovechamos este lugar para descansar un poco después del trekking y también para tomar unos mates. A mí me gusta tomar mates pero no hacerlos, y ella tenía todo para prepararlos, así que hasta en eso hicimos un buen equipo 😅.

Before night fell completely, we had to return to our campsite because we had already gone more than 6 km away from it. We had a long walk back, but the path to follow runs along the lake, so even on the way back we were able to enjoy the sunset. It is amazing how the light of the sunset manages to transform the landscapes, which during the day were completely blue and greenish, and now they were tinged with a faint violet ❤️.

Antes de que la noche cayera por completo, teníamos que volver a nuestro camping porque ya nos habíamos alejado más de 6 km de él. Nos esperaba una larga caminata de regreso, pero el camino a seguir bordea el lago, así que incluso volviendo pudimos apreciar el atardecer. Es increíble como la luz del atardecer logra transformar los paisajes, que durante el día eran completamente azules y verdosos, y ahora estaban teñidos de un violeta tenue ❤️.

We were lucky to find a campsite open in April, when temperatures are already quite low and hardly anyone camps there. This place had a drop-off to the shore of Lago Futalaufquen, so we were able to stay on the beach until we had to go back with torches. Seeing these beautiful landscapes made me even more grateful to be able to be there and enjoy them, something not everybody can do. I know I am very lucky for that ❤️.

Tuvimos suerte de encontrar un camping abierto en Abril, cuando las temperaturas ya están bastante bajas y casi nadie acampa ahí. Este lugar tenía bajada a la costa del Lago Futalaufquen, así que pudimos quedarnos en la playa hasta que tuvimos que volver con linternas. Ver estos lindos paisajes me hacer ser aún más agradecida de poder estar ahí y disfrutarlos, algo que no todo el mundo puede hacer. Sé que soy muy afortunada por eso ❤️.

Our day's trekking was so busy that when night fell, it didn't take us long to go to sleep. I think I was so tired that I didn't even notice the freezing cold of the night in the park. Fortunately, this camping experience was satisfying despite the autumn we were experiencing. Everything we saw in Los Alerces National Park was beautiful, and meeting Agos who shared his tent with me was great. If we hadn't coincided in time and place of volunteering, I probably wouldn't have had a memorable experience like this 😃.

Nuestro día de trekking estuvo tan cargado que cuando llegó la noche, no tardamos nada en irnos a dormir. Creo que yo estaba tan cansada que ni me enteré del frío congelado de la noche en el parque. Por suerte, esta experiencia acampando fue satisfactoria a pesar del otoño que estábamos viviendo. Todo lo que vimos en el Parque Nacional Los Alerces fue hermoso, y conocer a Agos que compartió su carpa conmigo fue genial. Si no hubiésemos coincidido en tiempo y lugar de voluntariado, probablemente no hubiese tenido una experiencia memorable como esta 😃.
