🚙My second stop was at the remains of the old Maripérez-Ávila coastal cable car.

🚙>Mi segunda parada fue en los restos del antiguo teleférico Maripérez- Ávila litoral.

This sub-station was part of the extension of the cable car network from Ávila to the coast and was inaugurated in 1956, during one of the most important architectural dictatorships in the country.

Está sub-estación formaba parte de la extensión de la red de teleférico del Ávila al litoral y se inauguró en 1956, durante una de las dictaduras de más obras arquitectónicas de importancia aporto al país.

"El lirón" received the cabins that came down from the station of Ávila and will relocate them in another wire so that they will continue their way to the coast, via the sub-station " loma de caballo".

"El lirón" recibía las cabinas que bajaban de la estación del Ávila y las reubicarán en otro cable para que continuarán su camino al litoral, vía la sub-estación " loma de caballo".

On the site still lie the skeletons of several cabins and the structure that allowed its passage and the re-tensioning of the wire between the stations.

Para subir puede ser por teleférico o por senderismo, es un lugar muy hermoso y vale la pena visitar y disfrutar de cada momento, el frío que hace es increíble y se puede ver toda la ciudad apenas llegas a la cima.
