Hi guys! Today I come back this community with full energy after a long vacation. What's new with you today? As for me, I'm quite thrilled and excited after a wonderful trip to Hue which is an ancient destination for anybody visiting Vietnam. Actually, we had intended to visit Hue before Tet, because to the problematic Covid issue, we had to postpone it twice. Therefore, following Tet, we planned to go to the ancient capital of Hue again with 3 days 2 nights. I was anxious that the plan would be delayed again because it had been raining nonstop since the New Year's holidays, but thankfully it was sunny on the day of our departure.
We purchased our tickets on the app a few days ahead of time because we were taking the train. We arrived 30 minutes early at Da Nang station to check in. The number of tourists traveling in the first days of the new year is extremely high. This is probably only my second train ride in the last 15 years. This journey is particularly memorable since I've made a lot of friends on the same train; despite the fact that we're meeting for the first time, we play cards together and converse as if we've known each other for years.
Since Hue city is more than 100 kilometers from Da Nang, it takes 3 hours by train. We arrived at Hue station after 3 hours of playing and resting. We continue to took a taxi to the homestay in the center of Hue city.
We started our trek to Hue citadel after a half-hour respite.
Firstly, we rented a motorbike to go for 2 days for 300,000 VND/ones. The distance between our homestay and Hue Citadel is relatively short; we go about 10 minutes.
After taking pictures for a while in front of the Ngo Mon (Noon Gate), we decided to buy tickets to visit here, the ticket price depends on different destinations, we chose the ticket price of 200,000 VND/ 1 per.
Hue Imperial city is an ancient city as well as the imperial capital in Việt Nam for over 100 years. It has a solemn beauty because this is the residence of ancient Kings. Because this is a sacred site, you should not use foul language or laugh too loudly while you visit.
The tremendously enormous space in here will surprise you; I believe it will take you more than an hour to visit the entire Hue Citadel. Although the space here is large, you don't need to be afraid of getting lost because there are signboards for each area. In addition, on the walls there are picture frames containing information and images of kings and mandarins when they were stationed in the ancient Hue Citadel.
Moving from one location to another is exhausting due to the apparently endless aisles. What I admire about these walkways is that they have big trees on both sides and lush green lawns that are quite appealing.
There are palaces where monarchs have resided and where the antique and aristocratic qualities of the old nobility may still be found. According to my observations, the palaces are each created in their unique manner based on the location of the ranks' home.
Taking photos is one of the most intriguing things you can do. You may hire kings' or other classes' national costumes for photography; the fee varies depending on the costume and age. You can get a taste of what it was like to sit on the King's Throne in the old days, and you may photograph it. When you get this sense in the old capital of Hue, I believe you will be satisfied.
After walking around for a while, I accidentally came to a small shrine of princesses, I lit incense to pray for peace and asked for a New Year's oracle. It took nearly half of our day to see everything there. It's wonderful to be able to visit this location at the start of the new year. I'll continue my tour in Hue in my next posts. Hoping for your supporting!
Hue has always been a romantic city and a good place to visit. Last year, I paid a visit here. But I haven't gone all the way inside yet. If I ever have the opportunity to return to Hue, I will strongly consider visiting this location. Thank you for sharing, and I appreciate it. 😍
Thanks so much my friend ❤️
It looks like a lovely place and seems not so crowded so you can enjoy yourself well. You took some good pictures of this place, it's good that the trip wasn't delayed again :)
Yeah, it's lucky to come here after several delays. Thanks so much for reading my post 😊
Miss this place
