GEOGEOUS "DON CA" ARCH BRIDGE IN NORTH HAI VAN STATION

Today I come back to introduce to you a beautiful destination that you must visit once if you have a chance. It is the place where along the train line, you can see and check-in the picturesque scenery in Don Ca Arch Bridge. It is not just a one-of-a-kind traffic structure, but also a gorgeous natural setting. This location has been compared as a "portal to heaven," as it looks like a giant door. So let me show you some interesting things about this destination.

We started at 9am in the center of Da Nang, it took nearly 50 minutes to move to Don Ca. This project is located in Lang Co town, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province, so we moved through Hai Van pass by motorbike.

It was a beautiful sunny day, we are young girls who love to experience many places before graduation. This is a random trip for me and my friend, we planned it one day before, we are both in Quang Nam, so the next day we meet in Danang and start the journey.

The scenery on Hai Van pass will surprise you with the beauty of nature between the mountains and the sea. You have to be careful when driving this road because there are many slopes and bends.

This is our first time coming here, even though we used google map, we still got lost because it was hard to find the way down. On the way, please pay attention to the house on the left hand side (picture below). Here you look to the right, there is a small concrete entrance.

I think you should check your motorbike before going, especially the brake because after entering the small entrance it is a steep slope about 1-2 kilometers. In addition, because the path is small, you must keep the handle steady, avoid colliding with other people and rocks.

When you get there, you can park your car above the exit (remember to lock your motorbike carefully) or you can run down the track, turn right, run along the track for about 500 meters, there will be Hai Van Bac station and you can send your motorbike here.

In the middle of the two tracks is a small concrete walkway for you to walk here. There is a little concrete walkway in the midst of the two lines where you can walk. I feel as if I'm in the middle of nature, with the majestic grandeur of the mountains in front of me and the poetic beauty of the blue water nearby.

About 30 minutes away, there will be a train passing by, you should watch and listen carefully to the sound of the train from afar to find a place to avoid. Have you ever seen a long train passing in front of you at a close distance? It was an extremely enjoyable experience with a bit of fear. If you want to try, come here and feel it.

After walking along the tracks for about 15 minutes you will see a small bridge over a stream, and I really love to hear the sound of the stream because it is very soothing. The bridge named Bai Ka is 19 meters long. You have to pay attention when stand here because it can drown out the sound of the train, you won't find a foothold when the train passes.

You continue to walk for about 10 minutes to reach Don Ca Arch Bridge, along the way, there are picturesque roads, you are just like a small object standing in the middle of the vast mountains and forests.

This is a small exit on the right side of the bridge, you can climb down this way, please pay attention to the steps when climbing because it is very steep.

According to my research, the Don Ca Bridge was built between 1902 and 1906, with four arches, mostly made of stone, with a height of 20 meters and a length of roughly 100 meters. This is not just a significant bridge on the North-South railway line, but also a check-in location that draws many tourists due to the natural beauty.

When moving down to the foot of the arch bridge, you will clearly feel the fresh air, the rustling sound of the trees. Besides, the arch bridge is a section on the Hai Van pass railway, so on average, there will be a train or train crossing Hai Van pass every 30 minutes. When you hear the train in the distance, get your camera ready and pose for some great photos. In addition, the towering stone pillars also become a unique "background" for you to save the best check-in pictures. The beauty of Don Ca arch bridge is also mentioned by the wild nature, majestic mountains and forests. The backpackers like me come here not only to admire the scenery, take pictures but also relax in the clear and cool stream.

The arch bridge at the foot of Hai Van pass is also an ideal camping place for trips and weekend fun with friends and relatives. There are large rocks here where you can set up a tent, hold a party right by the cool stream.
