Goddess of Mercy (Guan Yin).
Hello everyone. Wat Phra That Chaloem Phra Kiat, another beautiful temple in Mon Pin Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. Last week I shared stories and photos of this temple in the Thai temple zone. This post, I will share stories and photos of this temple, Chinese temple zone.
Fang District is a rural district with various ethnic groups including Thai, Yunnan Chinese and hill tribes. And most of the people are Buddhist. Therefore, this district has many Thai temples, Chinese temples or Chinese shrines.
Wat Phra That Chaloem Phra Kiat is therefore a temple that combines Thai and Chinese temples. Although the Thai temple zone and the Chinese temple are on different mountains.
When we arrive at Wat Phra That Chaloem Phra Kiat Zone Chinese Temple. We saw the tall and large Goddess of Mercy (Guan Yin), which is distinctive and beautiful. The color gold Guan Yin statue stands on a lotus and a purple cement foundation decorated with many colorful beautiful stucco of deities.
The side of the color gold Guan Yin statue there is a pavilion, within this pavilion are bronze buddha images representing the five buddhas of buddhism and several other buddha images.
Then, me, my wife, my granddaughter and my wife's mother enjoy the view at area the courtyard in front of the statue of Goddess of Mercy (Guan Yin). The view below this area is a beautiful natural view. We saw the village of Wiang Wai, fruit orchards, farms and mountains. Absolutely, we enjoy and are happy to see the view.
As we walk through the Guan Yin statue. we see a small beautifully decorated pavilion, area beside the Guan Yin statue. Inside the pavilion, there are Chinese gods in a glass cabinet. But I don't know this Chinese god.
Next we will see a Chinese style pavilion and a Chinese style pillar in the shape of a dragon wrapped around a pillar.
Near the Chinese style pavilion we see the meditation building of the monks, on top of this building there is a large statue of the Maitreya Buddha in Chinese style. And area the statue of Maitreya Buddha in Chinese style, there are dragon statues and other Chinese deity statues.
A large Chinese sanctuary in front is a dragon-shaped staircase.
The inside of the large Chinese sanctuary is decorated in Chinese and Thai styles. And there is a highlight of this place is Guanyin made of white jade. In addition, there is also a Chinese Buddha (Yulai), Maitreya Buddha in Chinese style and an elephant made of white jade. And other buddha images and statues of monks not made of jade too.
Then when we walked to the side of the Chinese sanctuary, we could see a pavilion and in this pavilion there are statues of Chinese gods which I don't know. Near this pavilion are two giant statues. These giant statues are Vaisramana. And the front area is a plastic flower bed.
We love and fascinatingly this temple. Although though me and my wife have been to this temple 2 times already, we never get bored of it. But this time we took my wife's mother and granddaughter to visit this temple for the first time. My family and I enjoyed and happiness the trip to Wat Phra That Chaloem Phra Kiat very much. And I hope that friends will like and enjoy this temple like us.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
