Hello everyone. Mae Soon Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province It is a peaceful and livable subdistrict of Fang District. This subdistrict has a all of 17 villages. One of the all villages is Nong Yao Village. And the community in Nong Yao village has a temple and fresh market. Which is the religious and commercial embodiment of most people in the village. Temple and fresh market of Nong Yao village called Wat Nong Yao and Nong Yao Fresh Market. And this post, I will take friends to visit Wat Nong Yao and Nong Yao Fresh Market.
Me and my wife went to Wat Nong Yao and Nong Yao Fresh Market this morning. This temple and fresh market are on the side of the highway no.107, Chiang Mai - Fang route. I saw a fresh market before reaching the temple. And I had to park at Wat Nong Yao.
The fresh market area before entering the temple, there will be a large white entrance arch to the temple made of cement decorated with beautiful color gold stucco patterns. On top of the entrance arch is a pagoda.
When entering the temple, you will see a large and beautiful buddha image hall (viharn) in the style of Lanna art (Art of Northern Thailand). Area in front of the buddha image hall (viharn), pillars, door and windows are lacquered and gilded with various Thai patterns very beautiful.
The staircase to the entrance of the buddha image hall (viharn) is a serpent-shaped staircase made of stucco with beautiful pattern.
When we walk behind the buddha image hall (viharn), there is an entrance stairway almost at the back of the buddha image hall (viharn). This staircase has a gilded pavilion decorated with various beautiful patterns.
In addition, the outer wall behind the buddha image hall (viharn) is a beautiful buddhist art stucco image. Unfortunately, the inside of the buddha image hall (viharn) is not open to visitors.
When we walk behind the buddha image hall (viharn) is the ordination hall (ubosot). The ordination hall (ubosot) Lanna art style is made of brown painted cement with the front of the ubosot, doors, windows and columns decorated with lacquer and gilded with beautiful patterns.
The entrance staircase in front of the ordination hall (ubosot) is a serpent-shaped staircase. But the entrance staircase at the back entrance I'm not sure what animal it is.
Then me and my wife walked to the pagoda behind the ordination hall (ubosot). This color gold pagoda has a beautiful shape. And there is also a door that can enter the pagoda (Most pagodas in Thailand have no door). But not open to visitors inside the pagoda.
This pagoda is surrounded by walls and has a beautiful entrance arch. There are also other sculptures around the pagoda too.
Lanna art style architecture. I don't know, What is this architecture?
The wall and the entrance behind the temple have brown lion sculptures.
In addition, the temple also has a old bell tower and many other buddha images.
Me and my wife finished enjoying Wat Nong Yao. Then we walked outside in front of the temple. Outside in area front of the temple is Nong Yao Fresh Market. This fresh market is open from morning until night. I take everyone to see some of the atmosphere inside Nong Yao market. Take a look.
Today my wife and I enjoyed and happiness visiting Wat Nong Yao and buying groceries at Nong Yao Fresh Market before go home.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
