Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky in Bulgaria 🇧🇬

Hello dear friends in the hive! I hope you are well and enjoy the next post I have prepared for you! Today in it I will show you an extremely beautiful architecture in the form of the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky, which is located in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia!

This is an amazing architectural wonder of the architect Alexander Pomerantsev, which I had the pleasure to enjoy during my visit to the capital two days ago! The monument temple is located right in the center of Sofia, and near it is the Russian Church of St. Nicholas the Miraclemaker which I intend to tell you about in one of my next posts. There are also two other sights that I told you about in my two previous posts, namely: Old National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria and Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

This cultural monument was completed and opened its doors in 1912. and is open to visitors throughout the week from 7 am to 7 pm. The temple is also included in the 100 national tourist sites of the Bulgarian Tourist Union!

Next to it you can see a colorful garden with a place to relax, as well as enjoy other architectural objects that I mentioned to you. You can also buy a variety of traditional souvenirs from local artisans who have set up their makeshift workshops around the temple itself.

You can also see many statues of various notables from Bulgarian history, such as: the statue of Tsar Samuil ruled the Bulgarian kingdom in the period 997 to 1014., Also an article by Paisi Hillendsrski father., cleric and historian, who wrote Slavonic-Bulgarian History.

During all these years, the temple has received hundreds of thousands of Christian believers, and every guest of the temple remembers his visit for a long time. So I strongly recommend this place as a tourist destination and spiritual home for anyone who decides to visit the capital of my country Bulgaria, Sofia.
