Travelling Ancient Places in Jaipur, The Pink City of India

in Worldmappin2 years ago (edited)

Travelling to Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, for a week is a great way to experience the rich cultural heritage and history of India. Here's my experience for a week-long trip to Jaipur:

Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

After arriving in Jaipur, we checked into our hotel and take some time to relax and unwind. We explored the local area around our hotel, sampled some local cuisine, and prepared for the days ahead.

Day 2: City Tour

Started our day by visiting the City Palace, which is the most famous landmark in Jaipur. The palace is a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture and houses several museums that showcase the rich history and culture of the region.

After that, we visited the Jantar Mantar, which is an ancient observatory that was built in the 18th century. We then head to the Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, which is an iconic five-story palace with 953 small windows.

Day 3: Amber Fort

On day three,we visited the Amber Fort, which is a stunning hilltop fortress that was built in the 16th century. We also took an elephant ride up to the fort and explored its stunning architecture, intricate carvings, and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Day 4: Nahargarh Fort and Birla Mandir

After breakfast, we moved towards the Nahargarh Fort, which is another hilltop fort with stunning views of the city. You can also explore the Birla Mandir, which is a beautiful temple that is made of white marble and dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.

Day 5: Jaipur Markets

Spending the day exploring the local markets and bazaars of Jaipur, where we found a variety of handicrafts, textiles, and jewelry. You can also sample some of the delicious street food and snacks that are available in the markets.

Day 6: Jaipur Food Tour

On day six, we took a food tour of Jaipur and explored the local cuisine. We also tried some of the famous dishes of Jaipur, such as dal bati churma, ghevar, and lassi.

Day 7: Departure

On our final day, we checked out of our hotel and head to the airport for our departure flight. We also took some time to do some last-minute shopping or visit few other places of interest that we had missed during our stay.

Overall, a week-long trip to Jaipur will gave us a great opportunity to experience the rich culture, history, and cuisine of this beautiful city in India.

Those are gorgeous, especially the first two photos in the middle of the mountains or hills. I have always wanted to visit India, but I just don't get the chance. It's truly breath-taking. The food looks colorful too. Thank you for sharing, @kirlos!
