I think tasting all local delights is one of the best perks of travelling... π I wonder at some who refuse to try local foods and instead stick to "regular" (bland/boring) hotel food...
I agree with you. Local dishes have a very distinct flavor, which is specific to the culture of that place. Not as popular as the dishes in restaurants and hotels. If given a choice, I'd still love to explore local cuisine.
